The Game Convention is still not over on Gamersyde! Here comes another gameplay video of Need For Speed ProStreet, where Snoopers has a lot of troubles staying on the track!
the graphics are nice and the speed is indeed great. but im still not feeling the game at all. that track is the definition of boring. and the damage medel isnt as good as i'd hoped. slamming into a post aty that spead should have done more then just slightly buckly and dent your bonnet. considering criterion are now owned by EA i was expecting burnout paradise levels of damage.
KORNdog, the same thing happens in Forza2 when you collide with something. It's not finished yet, so I don't mind the track, plus there's more than just one track in the game.

thats what i was getting it, forza 2 had that type of damage model and look how realistic that looked....not very. they're hyping up the damage and the smoke effects for this game more then anything...well, they've delived on the smoke. damage model looks pethetic tho imo
Nice sense of speed, but horrible physics the worst iv'e seen for a couple of years. I wonder how that effects the handling, forza and dirt used the physics to improve the gameplay in a nice way.
Still im not expecting much from this the nfs series is in a way not a series since the games have changed so much over the years, it's more of a brand than a series.
I think Burnout Paradise will be way more fun then this if you like crashing and damage.. And then for a mix between arcade and sim racing we have PGR, and for sim we have Forza..
I think the NFS series is kinda lost in the middle of nowhere..
Burnout Paradise... so far looks like a must own. I haven't owned a NFS game since the PC days, & this game got my attention, but I still don't think I'll make the purchase. Looks like a rental for me. But the lighting and graphics look very nice for this version. Definitely not an upressed port like the previous one.
The track shown is fairly bland. Hardly challenging to have a straight-ish track with 4 turns..also, what's with the crazy clipping during the physics demo, my god. :)
Hehe totaled with a few scrapes, intact windows and a missing platic bumper. Though driving into a pole and rolling your car would total it, the game didnt show it.
I wasnt expecting anything of this game (from years of EA experience) and again I'm glad I didnt.
The car zooming into the horizon so there's only a few pixels between the roof and the end of the road is just sugar on top. You cant see where you're going!
