Xbox 360 PS3

Lunik brought us this video (a tad blurry) of Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway where he proves his strange ability of not playing actual the game the right way.

Oh man, haha, I never play BiA like this. But surprised he made it to the end lol

Looks awesome, lots of depth of field. Animations look sick.

this is the kinda playing that drives you insane. like when your mate has a go at a game only for them to run around in completely the wrong direction. and your just screaming "go that way, no NOT THAT WAY, the other way, turn left you idiot, OMG your retarded" lol

on the plus side, the game looks very impressive visually. the grass in particular looks very nice.

crazy fool thought he was a one man army. Its a shame theres no sound as i'd put money down that he let off a girly scream when those two nazi's popped up behind the cover towards the end.

No, this game is played by someone who has never ever played BIA. He's more of a run and gunner than doing all the tactical stuff. Same goes for me. Looks good, but I don't want to think strategic in my games, except if it comes to deep turn based RPG's.

I think I'll love this game... Obviously player here sucks so I don't know how it'll play with my extensive BiA experience (both games finished on Authentic :)), but I think they made good gameplay decisions in general. The game is running on UE3, so there's no technical revolution here, but I really visual style.

But "strategy" elements here are rather straightforward and really streamlined, so believe it doesn't harm the action part of the game, just adds a bit more depth. It's really fun. :)

BIA is looking much improved over some of the recent media. I like the grass and framerate seems solid. Some glitches and low rez textures, but looks solid. If coop and MP online is solid I think I will get this. The lack of hype has me scared though. This went from a real hyped game in 2006/early 2007 to NOTHING now.

Some of the worst display of Artificial Unintelligence I have seen in a while. If the game was anything like what it constantly promises to be, that guy should have been pwned in the initial seconds.

I don't want to be a smartarse, but saying that the "Artificial Unintelligence" is bad, literally means, that the AI is good... :P

But your right, those first few seconds hopefully just show how easy the game is if the easiest difficulty is chosen... if not, the game will suck- BADLY.

The game looks decent I think. But one thing, and I know it's relatively small, but MY GOD that thumb graphic(model and texture) looks horrid!! I really don't think I could play the game with that thing in my face, hopefully they will fix it.

Also I really wish they would have kept the gun graphic much lower, as it was when they original showed it. It really makes it look like the character is a midget, especially when holding the Thomson(is it? I am not a gun expert).

Seeing as the health indicator shows constantly "100%", I think the god mode was turned on for demo purposes and he really couldn't die. That or this red filter that serves as a danger indicator gives you just too much time before you are actually hit by enemies.

Game looks great, but some things annoy me. I really dislike the pacing. With those iron sights taking up more than half the screen and the enemies almost always tucked away behind cover, there's little to none visual feedback when actually killing them...there's just no satisfaction there at all. It may be realistic, but it just doesn't look like much fun. On top of that, you're providing surpressing fire half of the time, which doesn't help either.

The aiming and controls look clunky as well, and even though the graphics for the most part are dropdead georgeous, what the hell's up with the poor guy's hand? A little more attention to detail on the hand and the gun models would've been nice since that's what's taking up half the screen half the time.

I think you're viewing this as your standard rambo run and gun affair. Brothers in arms has never been about that..its all about the tatics..as such its alot slower paced, but then alot more satisfactory knowing you've used your brain rather than the luck of run and gunning.
Also there should be plenty of visual stimulation from your kills because of the cinematic deaths that will frequent it.

The only thing i dont like about the game is the facial animations which fail to display the emotion thats been much mooted by the developers and key to the story.. its something they should of had nailed from the start, and it seems silly and lazy to of overlooked it.

Oh no, I'm well aware of what this game is about and that's exactly the reason why I don't like it. And the cinematic deaths, afaik, only appear during explosions. And from what I've seen, they are extremely lame. And how do you use you're brain more than in any other games? To me it seems that in BIA you use either one of two approaches: Provide surpressing fire so your teammates can flank, or you flank while your teammates provide surpressing fire. How that involves any kind of extensive thinking is beyond me.

I could stomach GRAW because there was still plenty of satisfaction in killing your enemies even though it was pretty slow paced. This game however just doesn't cut it for me.

stop whining about the player's quality... you should be happy you get such videos..

I'd prefer these vids over no vids at all.

how do you use your brain in this more than other fps's? cause you have to think about your approach, you have to think about where best to position your men...it aint going to be like this video..where he's appearing almost bullet proof. You have to look out for yourself as well as your team mates.. it doesnt take you by the hand and lead you down a straight path like cod ect.. you make your own paths.

Also the cinematics happen beyond just granade deaths.

Play a past brother in arms to understand what this games about.. and if you already have and you "know what the games about and dont like it", then you have little reason to voice concerns about it as its not going to be in your collection of games anyway.

If you've played previous BiA games (doesn't sound like you have), you'd know it's still damn satisfying picking off enemies when they're hiding behind fences, and you do your own dirty work. It's not like other squad shooters where you're essentially useless without your squad, so you do get the fun of a typical FPS. Plus, the canned death animations were cool, and I bet they'll be cooler this time :)

I've had many a mission where my squad is almost dead, and I've had to do all the work, which still is very rewarding to end the level on, but way better if you let your squad do the talking and you don't fire a single bullet. Hopefully, there's an ACHIEVEMENT for that! :D

Plus, this was definitely in god-mode, his screen goes bright red, but isn't hurt by further bullets.
