Xbox 360 PS3

Lunik got back with this gameplay video (a bit dark) of NBA Live 09, showing a game with some very impressive animations.

OMG how much facetime will nba live get??

i hate how they keep overshadowing my favorite NBA 2K

pisses me off...mannn 2k where are you??

show some more videos i wanna see you everywhwere 2k

things this game has failed on

- square body jerseys looking so stiff...i cant go back to that spongebob look

-already seeing people walk thru people and jump thru people

-that whole lightin up the floor stuff looks annoying and confusing in-game

-it was made by EA....you get no money from me when i can help it

philly, looking at the released media and information so far, the reason EA's getting the love is because 2K simply isn't sharing. Sites like Gamersyde show what they have.

Plus, EA seems to be taking the biggest plunge this year with vastly improved graphics and (supposedly) day by day roster updates. Which is crazy good if it actually works.

2K's still my series of choice due to its unsurpassed gameplay, but who knows. With EA's resources, they were bound to catch up eventually. Maybe this is the one.

What's with the animation praise? I take the animation of a game as a whole, not just a few characters. With that, the players in the court move fair enough, but is uniform animation not part of animation now? This is something the 2K series has done since the start of this gen, and it keeps getting better. EA is stuck in the past here.

Then take a look at the sideline, not even the crowd, look at the bench and the cheerleaders specifically. Those girls move as good as a crappy animated gif missing tons of frames.

Like the first poster, I would also like to see more 2K.

I think it animates pretty poorly. Yes, it does look better than years past for Live but its still nowhere near 2K... too many herky jerky animation transitions. Whats worse is the flow of the game - way off. And, why are the players so skinny, Lebron is built like a tank in real life but here looks like hes been skipping out on alot of meals.

It's almost like the player models are too thin. 2K's models look far more proportionate.

And how often do you look at the crowd? There is a reason the crowd is not detailed you know. Hell they look pretty damn good to me.

They look aweful, all gittery and very boring, you get a few arm waves when the player dunks....Zzzzz

Rest of the visuals of the game however look awesome. Most of the animation is fluid however problem comes when gamer controls the player then it starts to look rather dated in places, very floaty in my opinion, sudden changes in animation like running then guarding then checking looked off to me.

what do i know anyway I only play footy games :p
