Xbox 360 PS3

Project Origin was certainly the most forgotten game at the Games Convention, most likely because Warner strangely decided not to let anyone film the game even though it ran really well. And it's a shame because those who went and played it really seemed to like it a lot. Sometimes I just don't understand publishers... Anyway, here are two new trailers of the game.

I'm thinking of investing in a Radeon 4850. Think I'll be able to run this game on max setting?

It's a console port, so it shouldn't have anything taxing for hardware of that class, so it should do the job with flying colors.

Dam that looked pretty amazing definately much better than it looked before, F.E.A.R on the pc was great and still looks alright on max today.

And romeolives, they lost the name rights to F.E.A.R so they made a competition for the name to the sequel.

Actually looks great. The blood is amazing, and so is the lighting, and the effects are pretty impressive. Loved FEAR, so this should be great.

Looks not too bad ^^ But as always at PC games, low polygone number. Don't really understand that fact, but yeah, could become a very cool game.

Yeah totally agree, it looked a bit too much of the same in previous trailers but this one really shows it off a lot better. Added to the watch list, I loved the original FEAR.

The part with the stationary chaingun, looks just like killzone2, but without all the blur+grey.

It's an old updated engine, so you won't even need such a high-end card to play it on PC at max settings. By the way, it has been delayed to februari 2009, so you can save up money if you're buying it especially for this game.
Whos to say, It depends how well the engine is optimised at the end of the day.

If its anything like Fear was don't expect it to run that great.

Game looks nice
I suppose it'll be just like Fear though (as this just looks like a sequel), it'll play well, do nothing new for the genre and will just fill the gap till the next big game comes out
Player/enemy models remind me of Doom

"hey man, Gordon is THAT way!" I like the design of this soldier waaay better that HL2's combine soldiers though.

I like what I see so far of the game. I am considering getting it for the xbox but only if it has completely customisable controls. The lack of that feature killed Bad Company for me...

Console port? I would imagine it was developed on a PC in the first place, eh?

Uh, FEAR ran pretty well on 6800GT's--the 4850 is many, many times more advanced, he'll be fine.

Anyway--I can't wait--FEAR rocked, Project Origin will rock.

If it retains the eerie atmosphere and tension of the original (and not the awful expoansion packs), I'm sold.

The entire game, from art direction to level design to physics etc., is designed around consoles first, their strengths and limitations, because it has to run decently on 360 and PS3. So even if actual codebase was written on PC first, it's still a console port. :)
