Video Xbox One

Here we are on the Gamesomc showfloor, and we'll start with some Forza Motorsport 5, played by Helios from Turn10. 720p first, 1080p to follow, both at 60 fps.
Update: Added the 1080p60 version.

Looks good, but i do not like the lighting. It's not complex.

Go play GT5/Project cars and you'll know what i mean.

Agreed. That's what's always bugged me about the forza series. Which sucks cuz I really WANT to like them. Don't get me wrong, it's an ok looking game, but that's kinda the problem. It LOOKS like a game. This would never trick anybody into thinking they're seeing a live broadcast; a trick I've seen first hand with GT. At least they got the car reflections updating at full speed and that looks pretty nice.

I really do not understand when people complain about this. The game uses HDR image based lighting. That's pretty much as good as it gets outside of offline rendering in games for lighting. How is that not "complex" enough for you?

And there are games out there that trick you into thinking you are watching a live broadcast?

Looks absolutely stunning!

If I had the money, I'd buy a XB1 for this(+ Titanfall and DR3). Best looking game in consoles, no doubt about it.

This is what I was thinking too. There isn't a console racer out there (at the minute) that looks more impressive than this.

I totally agree. No console racer does this. Project CARs in the other hands looks incredible and I really was looking forward to Forza having some of the same things implemented and looking as stunning as PCars. But they are still not adding the things fans have been asking for since Forza 2... like night racing and weather (rain mainly), all things which are already in PCars. Not only that, but they are implemented dynamically like time passing and lighting changing. Then weather changing as the race goes on.

I'm disappointed in that, but the game still looks stunning. PCars looks way better now though:

lol @ anyone who says PCars looks better than this, I'm not even going to get into that argument right now.

Anyways, this video as greatful as I am, is grainy and dark as fuck -- it looks a lot worse than the direct feed we've already seen from this game.

This message is in "Boulet Time" (TM), If you still *really* want to see it, click here
Pcars is on PC. But NFS rivals and Drive club both look superior to this. Only excuse this game has it is 60 fps.

Well nothing unexpected here. The cars look better, shadows are better, cockpit better, environments lacking, lighting model is lacking. Much the same as last game, just better, which is to be expected.

Nothing unexpected or spectacular here as a whole.
