Holy shit, when it started I thought that WAS the remastred version... Halo: CE remarkably holds up in almost every levels even 10 yers later, and then holy crap, switch to new age look.
These previous HDRemasters really set the bar low of what to expect in a HDmake.
I think you could quite easily argue that the game will feel altogether different as a result of these extra colour schemes- Halo1 had this very much lonely feel to it at times and that does come down to space and colour. Either way this particularly level looked gorgeous and i like how i can play different flavours of the game now

Not every game companies want to put money and effort into a HD remake. Its understandable. I'm fine with HD ports.
I'm SO damn excited for this. I just played Halo CE with my nephew last month and seeing this is like brain explosion on high. I'm drooling for this remake! I may touch that 'back' button (how fitting, eh?) but for the most part- I'll be sitting there flashing back to 10 years ago with a Duke in my hand and an unbelievable "WTF?!?!?" look on my face. Now- all over again! I can't wait for this game- somebody leak more footage!!!! :-D

Replacing mood with pretty and so doing away with the ambience- when it's crucial for a part like this-, well it's a bit worrying

OMG - When I first started to watch the video I thought "this doesn't look very special"..............but when they switch to the new graphic mode my JAW hit the floor..............AMAZING, simply amazing.

Agreed. It's just too light. This level was pretty iconic imo due to the sudden change of mood. When they switch back and forth between the old and new graphics inside the building I think it's most apparent. Away is the nasty ambience and suddenly you're in a perfectly lit room without having to feel any fear of what's to come.

I'll say it again, I predict Halo 4 will be dual-engine so that it'll be compatible with and use the graphical capabilities of both the Xbox 360 and the next-gen Xbox. :D
