Video Xbox One

Here we are for our second day of showfloor videos, except now we have to dodge the rather amazing crowd. Let's start with this first Forza Motorsport 5 video, showing still the rather bland Laguna Seca track and this time the McLaren P1. It's worth mentioning that this time we managed to record direct feed sound, with just a slight saturation during collisions.
Update: Added a second video inside a Ford Focus ST.

I can't believe if they can't even have 8 cars on track with so much of ram or this is really a rushed game. There are 4 in this demo probably to make it look little better I guess.

Did you know that you have to connect to the internet and download content (and maybe patches), when you play FM5 for the first time?

Thats because the game they ship on disc is not completely finished. T10 used the time between the production of their game discs and the launch of XBox1 to finish the game and offer the stuff missing via download.

That is how much time pressure they have. I dont know where exactly I read this, but it was a statement from an T10 employee...

It's the main reason why I am not very confident about the game.

P.S. Good to see that the loading-times are also reduced significantly

Drivecluib has 1 car on track yet PS4 is 50% more powerful ;)

If you think Forza is going to ship with 4 cars on track then you must be a fool!

Damn, this game is going to be by far my most enjoyed launch game. From controls to eye candy it all just looks so spot on. Amazing to think they are being rushed and yet the product looks this damn good!

Are you talking about day1 DLC or patch to fix bugs in the game ? I hate day1 DLC. The game has may be 2 more months but I am sure they stopped caring about content long time back. They will just include that as DLC

@Xoar - I know PS4 theoretically has 50% more powerful than XO GPU but in actual game performance I think it will probably be 20-30%. DC video gave me a impression it was racing against ghost or something. I have no clue about it if that game will even have SP mode or not. But I was never comparing it to DC in the first place.

This is Turn 10, not PD, quality control is something you wont have to worry about, their games are immaculate in comparison to most devs out there.

BTW, that P1 in the showroom never fails to amaze me, the graphics looks ridiculous!

Good catch. This is not next gen this is BS. Next gen sims should be something like Project cars which is going to set a new standard. Sadly they need someone like Sony or Microsoft to advertize the shit of it to appeal console gamers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6X2Q6xFSF4

GPU only has 12.8gigapixels.

360/PS3 had 4.4gigpixel.

PS4 has 25.6gigpixel - destroys xboxone.

Big pixel fillrate doesn't automatically translates to heavenly graphics, but 13 GPixel/s for a next gen console... sounds like a bad joke

Like MrWhite says "Me see big number. Big number mean big gwaphics."

They put the equivalent Gpus up against each other and the PS4 one came out 5-10 frames ish better. Now that was in a PC where they have DDR3 to help with CPU calculations, PS4 doesnt have that luxury. The 2 consoles will not differ too much at all.

Turn 10 decided to use the time between disc production and launch date to finalize even more content for the game which can be downloaded for free on launch day.

You don't know Turn 10 very well if you think they would release a unfinished game.

Looking very very sharp, indeed

I hope this turns out to be superb, so that PD push themselves to be even better than what they´ve been with the GT series.

I still like GT better because of its realistic physics and gameplay, but I have no problem saying Forza is on par as an whole, if not better

What? If it comes out on the first day, who gives a flying fuck? First of all. Second of all, the game is plenty finished, it'll just be getting extra content on the first day because they are making use of the time between finishing content (which happens at very different times for different areas of the dev team, between content generation, programming, etc, and is always well before the street date) and the game launching. Stop acting like it's lazy and grow up. This is 2013, not 1995. Things are changing.
Also, what makes project Cars so incredibly revolutionary compared to this? lol.

Well when I see that mattering, I'll care. So far, nothing has shown that there is any real difference between the two consoles in terms of what devs can do with it. And seriously, there's more to a GPU than 3 numbers. And, not each of those numbers is going to mean better graphics in every way. Those numbers apply to particular aspects of rendering.

I'm struggling to get the video to playback smoothly, my PC specs are fine (4770K/Win8/HD5870), but the video looks corrupted as if it's a codec issue, but I've tried MPC-HC/VLC and to no avail..? Any suggestions?

Just as good as GT or Forza if not better. It is like saying only rfactor and iracing are proper sim racing games. Honestly speaking apart from those god rays I am struggling to see next gen visuals. I guess they will have it on every track.
