Being one of the two technological marvels of last E3, Star Wars 1313 could not miss this year's Gamescom. Here is a series of screenshots of the game, but don't forget to have a look at the Gamescom trailer too.
Man I really hope they give us a choice to pick male or female character and maybe even customize appearance. This default main hero is a huge turn off.
uncharted in the star wars universe....yes please. but i want it for next gen at least, don't want them to downgrade the visuals for the sake of releasing it sooner on current tech

They put too much work into making it look as good as it does to release this on current consoles. It'd take more work to bring it down to 360/PS3 level of detail than anything else.

thing is, watchdog is in a similar situation and they're not saying what consoles it's on, i've even heard it could be on PS3/360/wii-u (and PC of course). but if that's the case, then downgrades will be made. it'll depend on the engine itself tho i guess. could be very scalable. probably not as much work as you'd think. even in this the assets seems par for the course poly count wise, it'll be particles, lighting, post and effects that take the biggest hit. but they should be pretty scalable within the engine i'd imagine?
If there's anything currently in development that can be labelled next gen, it's this game. Absolutely stunning in motion and a level above what was seen in Watch Dogs. With that game, you could at least see where the assets of the engine could be stripped down. With this, I just can't see it. To put this on current consoles would render it to be completely different looking graphically.
hope there is more to it than linear corridor gameplay and cgi graphic, people can praise fucking games and there AWESOMENESS GRAPHICS all they want, but games nowadays are seriously lacking in the gameplay department because of all this graphics>gameplay mentality

True, but who doesn't like the pretties. Visuals are important too.

Agreed. I love these graphics as much as anyone, but if the gameplay is as uninspiring as the demo they showed at E3, I won't be buying it. Linear corridor shooters are linear corridor shooters, no matter how pretty. They render advanced AI, physics, and most other non graphical engine upgrades useless when they can't be properly displayed.
Also, playing a star wars game without lightsabers is going to be a tough sell. Don't get me wrong, the universe is great and I'm sure the environments will be stunning, but the shooting almost looked like the lasers were teleporting into the enemies, and it just didn't look......fun. I know they still have a long ways to go, but I'm hoping they really try something unique with this, and don't just pull a force unleashed 3 on us....
I wish they could release Knights of the Old Republic 3 with this sort of style, but not with the sam combat system from old KOTOR, really disliked it.
But this one looks nice, needs more proper gameplay footage for me to get more interested.

People can say gameplay is what's important all they want, but if a game looks like shit, fat chance it will be given a play.

Uncharted but in a badass setting.
