It is lower quality, but this is exactly what I expected to see from the game. It is open world, so I don't think anyone expected to see insane level of quality on every turn. Hell, even modern gaming PC's would have trouble with that. if they can maintain what we are seeing in these screenshots for the final game i guarantee once we see it in motion we will not care about "low quality snow"

Wasn't aware snow came in various degrees of quality. Is it not white enough? That black snow fucking things up again. No room for yellow snow either? Poor.

Yeah...the snow seems to be in lower texture quality than the rest, but it still looks absolutely amazing.

It's Ubi. Show a great looking engine at debute on PC, downgrade to appease the console crowd and create fake unity, let modders do the work of re-enabling the engine effects and working out performance bugs, claim you knew nothing of the sort when the effect variables are literally labeled with E3 monikers........

wow that sucks. the snow is blatantly lower quality and the windows on the buildings have super low quality reflections.

Technically very impressive, but as a game, it's as dull as ditchwater. A cover based shooter set in a generic American city full of giant cube buildings? Wow, such dazzling originality and vision.

Downgraded snow, but everything else looks on par? Na, I don't think so. That screen looks like the snow is lower detailed because it is lower detailed. It's in a different area where cars haven't traversed to form tracks in it or the snow hasn't started to melt yet. Simple as that, really. Remember, that snow is a dynamic shader. It changes.
