Here we are back from Sony's press conference with not much to put online unfortunately, but still here is the rather awesome gameplay video of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception that closed the conference. MAJ: Trailer and screens added.
Was indirectly forced into getting rid of my ps3 a while back, this game is the biggest reason I'm gutted about it. I don't think any game series has done 'blockbuster' as well as UC has, ever.
Too cool. By far my most anticipated game of this year. Will be interested to see if it can top the mighty uncharted 2? No game since then has even come close but if anyone can do it i guess it's the people who created it in the first place. Time will tell.

Bit to cut-scene heavy for me, but looks great.
Not sure how it's cut scene heavy.There's only one real cut scene,and that's the talking at the start.After that there were a few small transitional bits.The longest was when the wheel went up,and he entered the duct.Anything else was gameplay,or a few little sections like getting pulled out f the duct.
I'm not sure why but I'm just not as impressed this time around. I was hoping they fixed the sub-par animation of Drake and provided some more variety in the cookie-cutter enemies and AI. I think Gears 3 is visually more impressive but this is still going to be one of my favorite games. I still need to finish the 2nd one though. Haven't played it for a long time but I know I'm real close to finishing the game.

a little this. was a bit weird when the first cutscene ended and he starts moving in the rooftop... and is more like sliding at the end than anything. Come on ND, its your third game, people go on about how amazing are the animation transitions (more impressed with assassin's creed in that department really) in your games, but this doesn't help your cause.

I never got the chance to play UC2, but I watched the whole game on youtube... works the same IMO haha, I could even skip some mindless shooting battles.
Looks fantastic. It does seem very light on any meaningfull gameplay but that may just be because of how it was demoed
I'm really hopeing though this type of direction in games where they become more and more like films, doesn't make for just a series of wow moments throughout them from now on- and i think that's where the industry is heading unfortunately. Even the bits that are playable shown in this video, there doesn't seem to be any other way to do them either.It's an excellently realised franchise of that there is no doubt but yes there seems a huge emphasis on this being a film rather than a game. It's been on the cards for a while i guess with hollywood style moments being what devs strive to include

The animation in this game shows you why this looks better than gears 3..when in motion.
screen shot wise gears rapes this, but set both in motion and this rapes it.
Cut scenes I enjoyed the gameplay not so much, the fighting is so stiff and the shooting seems lackluster, reminds me of when I played that Bourne game.

And then in the gunplay Gears rapes it anyway.
BUt I do think this looks better overall than Gears even if I prefer Gears looks.

I like those middle eastern segements though, kind of like modern day of The Mummy, but unfortunetly, not as fantasy heavy lol
very nice and sharp textures, but i'd wish Uncharted had a little more attention to detail
this and Gears 3 -> 3rd-person-shooter-heaven, nice :)
I'm going to be a full fledged hermit this fall.
