Our friend Element managed to get to the Ninety Nine Nights presentation at the GDC, where Tetsuya Mizuguchi was presenting the work they had done on the realtime cutscenes of the game, and how the camera work would be different depending on the viewpoint of the character selected. Enjoy these images along with these 8 videos. Many thanks to Element!

yea same here. Watched allof them and #8 was the best one. Damn I thought that was CGI when all the human soldiers was running on the hill and the fire part but that was real-time. Or im I wrong? Because they kind of jumped quickly from cutscene engine to gameplay engine without me knowing whats what.

But In the 8th video it seems that Inphyy is a bad warrior and Aspharr is the good one. I thought it was always the females that was the nice ones, but wow. Awesome game.

The Goblin video (#8) is a mixture of realtime and pre-rendered. I asked during the Q&A session after they finished.

I watched that video again and I do not see how anything in there could be realtime. It's just way better than the other cutscenes (not that they are bad)

Wow... I love how the storyline is just changing depending on who you pick nicely done.

Yep there was definetly some realtime in there. The part where he runs out at his brother was most definetly realtime. There is also a possibility that the one in the beginning which said humans are coming could've been realtime as well. Up until they showed the village of goblins.

Man I'm loving this game even more... inphyy was about to murder a woman and child NO MERCY!!! ANIME STYLE lol.

Inphyy is definetly my character for this game :)

the fire scene and the human run on the hill and the close up on the eye on the goblin is pre-rendered but other stuff is rea-time in-game engine.

And yea Op the storyline is very well edited of who you pick the story changes.

Hey Blim, graphically the game looks better, and people from IGN and Teamxbox who have played it says there's an increase in graphical quality from the TGS build. Did you manage to play this build as well? If so, I hope you got some footage. :p These vids look awesome, but the color looks weird.

Game looks pretty cool. Why did ign say that at 75 enemies on screen the fps drops.

In the videos there are more then 75 enemies and the fps. Maybe they made a

typo??

Why couldn't this be realtime!? You can even see the health meter in the corner of the screen... But i hope they put in a t-rex, man for me the T-Rex scene in the original is one of the greatest things iv'e ever played in gaming history. :P:P

Did you see the lighting in the first 7 videos, and then in the last one? Except maybe when the humans are running down the hill, we only get close-ups of faces that look exceptionnaly good thanks to an almost perfect lighting. All other 7 videos are very weak there, with just your usual general light and nothing like this whole shadow/light we see in there. And the mouth movements are just way better than in the other videos too, just like the texturing and motion of everything.

Yea according to alot of people its definetly superior to the demo.

According to teamxbox ninety nine nights will EASILY be the best looking 360 game when it comes to the usa. Better than ghost recon and elder scrolls?

Even though we sampled the same gameplay moments at GDC as we did at TGS last summer, Ninety-Nine Nights is coming along as it should. The funky framerate issues have disappeared, which was the only thing that bothered us about the gameplay in Tokyo. Visually, Ninety-Nine Nights is looking amazing at this stage. Post production effects (helped along by the next-gen resolution) are striking. Depth of field blurs troops of enemies until they come upon your position. Arrows leave trails as razor-sharp as their points. And enemy counts are stratospheric, but not as cookie cutter as you would expect. Quite simply, Ninety-Nine Nights will easily be the best looking Xbox 360 game when it lands on our shores, whenever that is.

Well well, video number 8 if it shows anything in real time is definitely at second number 12, other than that's it's all CGI. Pause the video at 12 seconds and you'll see that's real time. Other than that, there's nothing but CGI as Blim is saying.

To evade any confusion, second 12 should show you the guy who was screaming "humans are coming!!!" The detail, the lighting, and poly edges tell me is real time.

It was removed? That sucks for people who didn't download, it was a very nice demo. And before you (anyone) say anything, play beyond mission number 1, please.

I didn't notice any framerate issues in any mission. And it's weird they say mission 1 has those problems when it's the less detailed area of all. I enjoyed mission 2 and 3 A LOT. Again, it's something like Crimson Skies, but the actual dogfights feel much better here.

I also think the main problem with this game will be mission variety. I can't think of many things to do in this kind of arcade style aircombat game.

Not sure about the english voice overs I know they leaving the japanese voices on with subtitles though.

Oops that mission 1 thing was a mistake lol the demo is amazing DID YOU SEE PARLIAMENT? Wow so much geometry this game is so much better after that first mission (which was graphically unimpressive). The atmostphere for the war over in parliament is crazy. The clouds it all looks really awesome.

Its strange, the better the graphics look the better the game plays does it seem like that to you?
