i don't have an 360, but this game is pure awesomeness, wish it was also an ps3 :)
(but ok, we do get Uncharted 3, and that's a 3rd-person-shooter nearly as impressive as Gears 3)
It would be interesting to see what the pecentage was that played this through coop. Iv'e played some single player but i tend not too and really i don't know quite why. It certainly feels different in a way most games get away with this just fine. I guess it was made with this in mind and it feels more complete this way. That said, it works great in single play of course, just not quite the same
This and L4D would be the only games i would make my first playthrough in coop though, i can't imagine how that first experience would be ruined for Halo for example had a friend joined me

I played trough the campaigns of Gears 1 and 2 several times with different friends / family members. Never played them solo, as the AI can never replace a human coop partner. And the campaigns are just amazing on "Insane" (and it was a great feature from Gears 2 that each person could choose their own difficulty - so I could help a friend through his "Insane" campaign while I played at a lower difficulty).
Now I'm really looking forward to the 4-player coop... let's see if it's still the same challenge on Insane.

That's another thing isn't it, i said to my mate that it would feel wierd going through this 3rd last game as a 4 player coop, as it's only ever been two of playing. Not that i wont be doing that of course because again the game will have been built around this feature
I recently read that Gears3 with more players changes things up a little- wheather that means things scale up as in Halo Reach, i'm not sure but hope so. Gears2 was a little harder i thought on insane but i could be wrong- mind you Skorge was no Raam of course
Coop in xbox games seems like almost like exclusive thing iv'e noticed when looking at these big shooter games. Thought Killzone 3 would have certainly had this based on the fans wanting the feature. Resistance 2 has one of sorts at least
What a weak trailer! I am not feeling Gears of War this time around! Perhaps that has to do with a couple of heavy duty games being released around the same time. Not much new here, same old, same old... Multiplayer, that's where the biggest changes are probably at but than again I don't really care!
