Trailer Xbox One

The latest trailer for Gears of War 4 has finally been made available in good quality so here it is for your viewing pleasure. The game from The Coalition will hit Xbox One on October 11 but you might be able to get a taste before as the beta kicks off on April 18 for those whoe played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, it will then expand to all Gold members on April 25.

I have never finished a gears game before, i only played a little of the ultimate edition but im very excited for this one. I'm more interested in the sp but its unfortunate that the mp seems to be getting really hammered for its graphics right now from some leaked beta footage

it did look pretty awful to be fair. but i think it was down to the night time map that was shown. no reflections, AO or shadows so characters just looked really floaty. people are saying "but it's a beta" but i don't remember a single instance of a beta being vastly different to the release version visually.

They said on twitter the footage is from an unfinished alpha or beta build, something like that. I'm not worried, because... Gears Ultimate looks better than that. There's 0% chance the final game will look like the leaked videos aka worse than a remaster of the first game.

I'm more worried in that the footage could be from Gears 3 for all I know. I suspect the game will just be the same thing as before but with new gfx and 60fps, zero innovation or evolution.

But it's just a CG trailer, hence my first post.

Seriously, I really don't see the point of CGI trailers anymore. Give us a trailer made with the actual in-game visuals instead. They're capable.

Maybe the team has no confidence there to show ingame. I remember the reaction here from everyone after the Gears 4 showing at E3 last year http://www.gamersyde.com/news_e3_gears_of_war_4_ga... Everyone pretty much agreed its strangely worse looking then Gears Ultimate Edition.

Then you hear excuses like "Oh but that's because its a year and a half from launch." Well here we are 6 months from launch now and it still looks shockingly bland.
Or now its "well its about the gameplay anyway". Well if that's the case, just stick with Gears Ultimate Edition and don't waste money on this then.

The previews that the likes of Eurogamer had up today had some pretty awful screenshots. They literally look like a game from 2007. Its funny, I got a lot of negative button presses from people for saying so but nobody wanted to challenge me on why they disagree with me.

It still is about the gameplay. Ultimate Edition is literally Gears 1 with updated performance, while Gears 4 has a foundation well planted in Gears 3, so what does one get if they want to play something like Gears 3 with updated graphics and in 1080p 60fps?

In your opinion they should just stick with Ultimate Edition... apparently.

My opinion was based on 14 mins leaked video. In new videos the game looks better but still nothing good in overall and of course this is alpha and there's room for upgrade.
