I've read quite a few times already that some people didn't like Epic's choice of very muted colors for Gears of War. Well it looks like they also thought it wasn't a good idea to force people with such a palette, as there is an option in the game allowing us to change it with 4 presets. In order of the images: Default, Soft, Lucid and Vibrant. The last one gives as expected the most colorful image.
Update : I've been asked to encode a video showing the rain level. There it is. It's the same one as the X05 demo, but there are still some spoilers.

I don`t wanna play a third person horror shooter which is based in a dark vision of our future on such a sunshiny day...
Only the butterflys are missing.

Commented on 2006-11-08 22:40:51Though it's nice they put in an option for it, they could have made the contrast between these modes a bit more obvious.
And after seeing many, many of the recent vids, the lack of colour does bother me.
Some levels look stunning, while other definitely look considerably "worse" (especially the indoor area's).
And it does seem that they've changed some levels in terms of colourpalletes, like that gasstation level, which really is a shame...
Oh well, game still looks and plays (I presume) fantastically... :)

Commented on 2006-11-08 23:31:46I'm fighting the freaking berserker, I get him/her out, kill him/her with the Dawn of Hammer, and then Marcus says something like "everything is clear" and then the screen turns black and that's it............NOTHING happens.
I can still shoot, but I'm not seeing anything. I know I can move as I hear everything. But the game doesn't load the next level or cutscene, whatever is supposed to happen. If I reload to checkpoint I have to fight the berserker once again, and this has happened every single time.
Has anyone had this problem? Help Please.
