Developer Diary PC PS4 Xbox One Xbox 360 PS3

Get a look at Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions with a behind-the-scenes video along with screenshots. Lucid Games' title will be the first to be published under the revived Sierra label, Activision's brand for indie titles. The game features single-player campaign, a revamped coop mode, online multiplayer and will be out this Fall.

Granted i've only looked at the screenshots, but i can't help but feel like maybe this is missing the point of the original game? I always equated Geometry Wars with difficult gameplay that is easy in execution. Just shoot shit before it kills you, nothing more or less. That's why i liked it. The 3d-aspect feels like it might fuck that up somewhat. Hopefully i'm wrong, i really liked Gemoetry Wars.

I was one of the few who prefered the original over GW2. From what i remember classic mode was on sequel, but with different scoring system, multiplier pick-up things and the new enemies/figures introduced in GW2.

That grid is obnoxious looking, and takes up way too much of the screen, as pointless as it is. That didn't really ease my fears. I guess it's worth noting that the creator of GeoWars isn't involved in this game :D

It looks like your average twin stick shooter. They're cashing in on that brand name.
