Xbox 360

Ubi has produced another developer diary for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, this time presenting the environment in the single player campaign - Mexico City. Around 1:30 in the video, take a look at the right AI guy and how he moves. Kind of disappointing seeing this in a next-gen Tom Clancy game, and the AI is something many reviewers have complained about. The rest looks fantastic though, and I can't wait to play the game for myself when it's released next friday (I won't even try crossing my fingers for a god damn demo before friday anymore).

Manager: If I recall correctly these developer diaries were made quite a while ago, not saying it got fixed but I'm sure that's what I read.

Did you guys get send the short XBox clips of the bullet reactions? There was a hilarious groin-shot one where you see the reaction of an enemy soldier getting shot in the balls over and over again.

You will have to wait until the next generation to get that amount of detail I'm afraid.

I don't think it's that far off. Major Nelso already has the game and is playing it so maybe on his blogcast we'll see how it really is.

They're real time according to the mag. Apparently the game uses the Unreal 3 engine.

Not that far off, but you may have to wait until the 3-4 year of 360/PS3 for that. Even the brothers in arms 3 shots don't have that type of artistic detail....close though.

I dont understand what he meant by an AI problem 1:30 into the game.

Is he referring to the soldier who has a stiff stance? I dont really see how that is an AI problem.

There's a half-second where the soldier does a "shutter-bug" twitch.

Haha, have you seen some of the achievements in GRAW?

Committed (Multiplayer)
Play for 8 hours straight in multiplayer

Are they serious? LOL! ;)

And these are gonna require some time aswell:

Heavyweight (Multiplayer)
Get a total of 10,000 kills in multiplayer

Master of Ceremonies
Host at least 1000 matches

I guess they really want to create some GRAW junkies outthere.. ;)

Actually, that 8 hours straight in multiplayer is an easy achievement assuming all you have to do is log on to xbox live and be somewhere within the multiplayer part of the game. Hell, ill probably end up getting it the first or second day, depending on when a friend of mine gets his copy.

Yeah probably true, just start a online MP game with some friend and leave it running overnight or something.. But it's still a weird achievement in a funny way I think.. ;)
