that character model still holds up better then most current gen only games... crazy what they achieved on PS3, and ascension looked even better!

Poor remaster, they should have made GoW1-2 in there as well since they are already remastered for Ps3 at 1080p/60fps then just add GoW3 and Ascension 1080p/60fps...now its a good GoW collection for PS4.

But at that price and just GoW3 with just upped up resolution and fps isnt going to cut it.

So $40 bucks for a remastered game that doesn't look much better than the original on PS3. BTW you can get the PS3 version for like $10 bucks.

Why not put it on PSNow since there is no BC?

I guess it's for people who didn't play it first time around who want it in 1080p and at 60fps, something the playstation now version wouldn't be.

I bet given the choice, next to no one would pay $40 bucks for 1080p and 60fps. for a last gen game. If it walks like a duck, quack like a duck, we'll call it what it is. We know what this is for sure.

People have already bought/rebought it, same as they bought/ rebought DMC and DMC4, so yeah, i kinda fail to see your point? *shrugs*

Shame they did not update the textures themself. Makes the game look worse then when i play it on my ps3.

But thats the problem with almost all "remasters". Shame shitty textures put under a magnifying glass.

Not worth it. Loved GoW 3, but wow has there been very little progress in the way of updating the graphics. Boo Santa Monica. Boo. Sell for $15, or even $20, and I'll reconsider.

Should have been a PSNow title.

Too true.

Every remaster ever summed up in a photo:

I agree this should bring something more than just GOW3 at 60fps and slightly higher resolution, since for me the difference in the frame-rate and res is not even close to worth the re-buy nor the years waiting for it.. At all!! Especially in a game already very well optimized from the beginning to the end. To me I like to see this remasters just for the fact alone that some fellow gamers didn't had the chance to experience it last gen. Oh and sure, needless to say GOW3 is a brutal game and anyone who didn't play it should catch this opportunity to do it.

Lazy remaster...was watching first 15mins on IGN and the framerate looked abit all over the place...still looks the as the ps3 version in my eyes too (which was a great looking game).

Don't even know why they bother with these remasters...it's a well know fact that nobody that went from ps3 to ps4 wants backwards compatibility...so why do they think we want to buy old ps3 games again??? And nobody that had a 360 cared about ps3 exclusives...it's a well known fact.

all these lazy remaster comments are funny, most of you don't even know how to edit a picture on paint let alone how to code a game engine, the fact the game looks almost the same as the ps3 speaks volumes of the game being ahead of everything else in graphics when it came out 5 years ago

I doubt that. It's a good looking game no doubt but why not put some work into it. It is after all one of Sony's flag ship franchise like Halo,Gears and Fable for MS. I would have loved to see some work like Gears ultimate done here, then the asking price would be worth it.

I like how people want remastered game to be actually remade game. It's remaster...better frames, higher resolution, maybe sharpened textures, but that's it. What exactly do You expect developers to do? Completely recode and remake the whole thing? You are funny...:-D

Yes if they expect to sell that high. Better yet they could include as a free pack in game bundle. .

hahaah yeah its a good joke. But i know one thats even funnier.

Its about a boy who was stupid enough to buy everything they stuffed in his face. And after a while he saw that the stuff he bought only got worse and worse. But the people selling him the stuff did not care.
Cause silly little jonny would buy there stuff anyway. hi hi ha ha ha ///The end\\\

not full retail...value is subjective... and quality is not a diminishing aspect of a game. thus it's a decent proposition if you A. are a fan and want to play it again. B. see the value in the improvements. C. have never played it before and want to.

plenty of people fall into at least one of those groups...

and no, i'm not buying this specific remaster. but i am buying the uncharted collection because of A and B. and no. BC isn't a replacement for remasters. just like re-watching a DVD on a 1080p screen isn't the same as getting the remastered blu-ray.

Where did I mention a price ?
Remaster/remake/revamped/turbo/ultra you can give any name you like, in the end of the day it doesn't change anything to the amount of cheap cashing we are seeing lately.

Gladly there still allot developers who are still making games worth money and time. And there are even good remakes of games(last of us).

Still it´s always up to players, if they want to pay the price. Nobody is forced to do it....so, some don´t care and some do. Take care.

watching Korn try to defend this lazy remaster is just way too funny lol...

The game looks ok, but I think this isn't one of those games that really seems that fresh or w/e just to have it in 1080p/60fps.
the game looked great on PS3 and for those who switched from MS to Sony then maybe this could be a not too awful deal, but $40 for a game that's nothing new other than a slight bump in resolution and frame rate seems like Sony is REALLY taking advantage of their new customers. Not a great move IMO.
