While we are still trying to recover from Uncharted 2, Sony decided to finish the job by releasing another batch of new images of Gran Turismo 5. Today, we are shown the Toyota FT 86, which will remind everyone how anxious they are to play the final game. And yes these are from photo mode so don't feel obliged to leave the usual comments.

Amazing. Some new tracks and (maybe) new photostages looks great. Photo mode in this game will be epic.

I dont like racing games
I suck at racing cars on games (except Burnout 1 and 2 and outrun lol)
I dont like Forza (sue me)
I dont like Need for Speed etcetc

Only Racing games i EVER enjoyed are Burnout 1 and 2 Rage Racer Ridgeracer 2 and Outrun (2005 was it ? ps2) as you can tell... arcade games (pgr 1-2-3 was ok at best) oh and...Gran Turismo 1 (rest were arse IMO!)

I dont get hyped for racing games, they dont appeal to me

Ah environments still look empty, flat and sterile like in GT5P but the lightning is insane, makes the game look very realistic. Is it just me or does the lightning look a lot better then in GT5P.

Best screenshots eve!!! As much as I love Forza 3 (been playing it to death since I got it) the lighting and particle effects in GT5 looks incredible.

I agree. Forza 3 looks very good, but that's about it. Even in replay mode, it just doesn't look realistic.

Turn10 shouldn't be playing word games with PD when it's clear that their game is still far from what GT5 will be.

The backgrounds look like they've fallen out of a PS2 game, but nice car models as usual.

These are probably the worst batch of GT5 shots yet, the car reflections when on the track look avg at best. Track details looks quite bad too.

Has anyone noticed this?

Textures are a bit blurry and flat. Car looks good, lighting is great.
The pictures that look bad are believable, the pictures that aren't as bad look so composed and retouched...

But what will it be? Tell us, what it will be?

Until this comes out forza3 is the king of the hill.. afterwards it might be a different story.

Perhaps he was talking about the physics? Greenwalt did run his mouth about FM3's graphics, but he was also including the work they did in other areas. Gotta love how it always comes down to graphics between the two games, when it's the physics and features that always put Forza up there where it belongs. I'm liking how this game looks, but if it plays like the old ones did, I'm gonna pass...
