GT5 marks the first time I've ever confused a photograph with a screenshot! Can't wait to see how the online works out.

Every game's Small screen can be confused with reality, even Wii's Cruisin'.
Well, maybe not that one...

Nah, I'm not talking about the thumbnails, but even then GT5 is the first game to look like a photograph. I've never confused another racer for real life, and I've been around for them all! It still amazes me what they're accomplishing with this game.

The car models look great, the tracks not so much... extremely generic, bland and flat.

I am not impressed as an overall package pgr4 looks way better. Even the car models look downgraded from what they where showing a year ago.

They showed some a few months back at close range and did all the spinning of the car round and showing the detail. And last year they showed similiar ones.

But when they are on the track they look good but not as good as they where made out.

Dont get me wrong the cars look great but when in the game they just dont fit or something.

PGR4 had the cities and the lighting and the rain and weather effects that really brought cars to life. This looks more like a boring forza game and while that maybe what it is going for it isnt what appeals to me.

edit: looking back on some of the older shots I take the downgrade statement back. Some of the still screenshots have looked amazing due to a little bit of touching up but many companies release those even bizzare did it with pgr4. But I still feel there is something missing from the shots.

Best car models in a game to date? Phff.....j/k. That's true actually.

Having said that, it's hard to decide if either this or PGR4 looks better. They both do some amazing stuff.

Having said that, I get a doctor feeling from these shots. Doctored in the AA sense. How come the videos didn't look that damn clean? That looks like 16xAA to me, and I think it didn't even have any AA so what's the deal?

Well, the cars are certainly nice. As for the environments, well... let's just hope that this really is a work-in-progress demo.

The rendering of James May and Hamster is pretty damn good, though the hair is shocking.

My Opinion. You're right.
Can't understand the ppl yelling the tracks look shit....
When Polyphony will show up tracks like Grindelwald or something you'll see the quality.
beside, look at the texture quality of suzuka circuit. It's hilarous for a racing game!!!!

The cars look astonishing! And how cool is that? Top Gear for everyone who doesn't have the possibility to get BBC. Like this show so much (altho I don't like Clarkson for his Porsche hating), too bad I ain't got a PS 3. Alone for the show I'd recon to buy it. How is the resolution for the video stream?

Yeah, but we've seen Prologue look much MUCH more jaggy than PGR4 (which looks really clean for the most part).

As for the track above being the best Suzuka out there, NO. FM2's looks considerably better.
