Images PSP

Sony releases five new images of Gran Turismo PSP. It's hard to believe that they're from the portable episode as it looks like PS2's work. In truth, they are official bullshots, ie, images captured in high-resolution by the photo-mode of the game. For good measure, we attached in addition some pictures this time captured during a real game.

Whoa. So.. the PSP can do motion blur. I know it's photomode, but the fact that it's doing actual motion blur is just cool.

Don't tell me the PSP actually has a Cell cpu which they just release more and more through new firmwares. *dreams on*

As per usual...photomode shots are like from another planet compared to ingame shots.

Looks pretty good I guess for a PSP game. Is there a cockpit view?

I suppose that makes sense. Though my point is that photomodes shots don't just add a little AA to clean things up a bit, like many on these forums would like you to believe.

looks fantastic! I'm assuming this will come out on a UMD and won't just be a downloadable title for the PSP Go?

Those other 16 screens look nothing like the actual game.

Based on this video the top screens definitely look closer.

That Bullshot mode is the most bullshot shots PD ever realeased.
Stop with that bullshit.

Game in real resolution looks kinda crappy, because of that. Probably plays and looks better in motion.

... who am I kidding, GT playing better, yhea.

Theese new pictures have no connection with the actual gameplay. They are probably from a rendered intro video...w

Heh, nobody seems to bitch about no damage model in this version :D Everybody is blown away by those graphics, and after seeing some in game movies on gametrailers, i have to say it almost looks better than GT3!

there proper photomode upscaled, supersampled of course presumably so you can export them to pc/ps3 and still look good. that explains the ultrabullshot mode

they do show some good detail polywise in both environments and the cars and they seemed to have nailed the lighting/reflection effects on the cars. in motion theres a noticeable difference between 333mhz and 222mhz racers and this is a good example.

If you look at the actual gameplay video,it's closer to the bullshots than it is the gameplay screen posted
BTW. here's the video (do see it in HD): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kn5rBftQ1b0

Actually, that's quite a bit deceiving considering it's rather low quality, offscreen footage seen from an angle on a tiny reflective screen. Not exactly a proper representation of how the game looks "fo real!".

That said, I do believe the truth is in the middle...as framegrabs also look considerably worse than actual gameplay footage. So I'd say it looks considerably better than the screenshots, but also considerably worse than the photomode shots...
