Ubisoft released this trailer, presenting the Downloadable content "Chapter 2" for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. In some way the online mode never captured me, so maybe this is just what I need to start playing the online mode. The price - 1200p.

and 15 bucks is too much for this - island thunder had a lot more content as an expansion, but i suppose this is like half of what IT added so it's the right price? maybe? i dont know
and you could always wait and hope it becomes free in like, october, or something.
Let's do the math here for chapter 2....
8 relit levels for multiplayer (0.25$ each lets say considering it's simple.. supposedly) 2$
4 BRAND NEW COOP (2$ each give it a break this is a decent price for a new 3d multiplayer coop boards) 8$
2 new game modes (1.50$ each? ... i mean there entirely new modes.. that means AI and decent bit of programming...) 3$
2 new camo outfits ... (0.25$ to pay those graphic artists that did the mapping and 3d texturing) 0.50$
4 new faces ... (0.25$ to pay the graphic artists that did the texturing and 3d mapping) 1$
5 new weapons (0.50$ to pay the designers, 3d modelers, and you know the guys that balanced them) 2.50$
Grand total: 15$
Think that's pretty decent individual pricing there now you know why it costs 15$ happy?

if it doesn't sell they will be forced to lower its price
just wait and see what happens

Let's face it. this is the way things are going to be from now on and for what it's worth I aint buying this not because I am cheap but because this is a total rip off!

new game modes? 99% of gamers plays LMS or Sharpshooter, who cares about new game modes??
for 1200mps? go away and dont come back Ubi
what this game needs is a patch, not lame DLC
I'd rather buy Lumines for this amount of points

Compare this list to all of the original models, textures, lighting, voice work, etc. in the original product. Now look at this download pack. I'm not saying the ratio of content to price has to be right on with the original release, but I think this is pretty ridiculous.
Micro transactions in videogames are still a new thing, I'll be sure not to pay for content that I believe is overpriced or any content that is pure fluff. Hopefully developers that plan to dabble in DLC catch on to the message sent by consumers' wallets so we're not regularly being nickle-dimed a year or two from now. In the end they may be pleasantly suprised with the number of downloads they receive ala Oblivion's horse models, but perhaps they'll realize they can make thousands more sales from a better release or even double sales if were charging 2/3 of what they're charging now.
It all depends on what consumers think. If you feel like you're being ripped off, don't buy it! If this sounds like a steal to you, go for it! I'd love to get my hands on the new game modes, but I'm not quite willing to pay for the rest of the content bundled with it.
