UBI has released the first Xbox developer diary for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. Who can call Xbox 360 "Xbox 1.5" after this? The version's are so different that I almost want to buy both.
mmmmm, didnt they say that that little square on the top left, where you can see your teammate's point of view, could only be rendered by the Xbox 360?

I was about to say that. In the 360 videos they claim that it's possible to do the crosscom only thanks to the power of the 360 but here it is in the xbox version ... makes you wonder
maybe they mean that it cant be done in the same way. U'll notice that the FPS of the cross com is no where near full speed, where as the 360 one is. Can't be done as well as 360 maybe.

Yep your completely right, the crosscom on the 360 is a realtime window, on the xbox it's definitly not realtime.....
look at the middle bottom pic the player is clearly visible in the other crosscom window look realtime to me may not be as detailed as the 360 but they said it was only possible on the 360
after seeing that video, i think it's best that the 360 version doesn't have the gun model on the 1st person mode, becuase it makes it look too much like rainbow 6, and I think most people will use the 3rd person view since it's just cool :p

Lol it's crap compared to the 360, the fps on that little window looks like 10 fps, sometimes u see it standing still, sometimes it's even "unusable" as u can see in the video,
i don't think i've to explain this more cause if u can't see the difference than so be it...

when someone tells me something 'cant be done on other systems' then why is it in there? it is CLEARLY REALTIME ie, not pre rendered
the updates may not be as high but it is clearly useable
there is obviously no comparason between the two games the 360 version is probably 200% better but that was not the point of my original question

Rainbow Six kicks ass, and first person weapons view DESTROYS first person NO weapons view and the gay ass OTS view!!!! The makers of the 360 version ruined the game by not including weapons view!!! Heck, that's the only reason why I'm not getting it!!!!
ok! I wasn't saying that RS is bad, I love RS myself, but I think they need to keep the two series seperate and different. GR has always had no weapon in 1st person view!

lol you are not buying a game becuase you cant see the gun?? i have other priorities like xbox live functionality and my pc neing upstairs on a desk and not connected to my HDTV

I love the whole "but I can't play it on my couch" argument. My 360 is sitting right next to my 24" 16:10 LCD..the same screen I use on my PC...so I play at my desk...it's still comfortable!
This looks cool..looks a bit more like the PC version, sorta strange, really..I too may be buying two GRAW's, depending on how the PC version turns out.

the updates may not be as high but it is clearly useable
