Jane Jensen, known for her work on the Gabriel Knight series, is about to come back with the release of Gray Matter, a new dark adventure game. This new title has already been delayed a few times, and not long ago it was pushed back to February 2011. Thankfully, we just got word that the game will finally be available in France, Spain and Italy on December 2, on PC and Xbox 360. Germany, Switzerland, Austria should be next with a November 12 release (TBC), while the UK will have to wait until February 2011. We still do not know when the game will ship in North America. Here are a few images that were released a few weeks ago so you see what the game is all about.
Update: We just learned that the game will have different release dates depending on the country due to differing production and localization time frames. We edited the above text to give you the proper information.

Is there a price diference?

I'll probably get this for PC as the backgrounds are gorgeous pre-rendered stuff, and not that ugly 3D that is way taxing for my notebook. I had that problem when they made the switch from Still Life to Still Life 2.

Well, I assume the PC release is cheaper, which usually is the case. But I don't know for sure.

The reason I'm going with the 360 version is that my computer is not much of gaming machine AT ALL. So it doesn't really leave me much of a choice. PC is probably the best way to enjoy it though.

hmmm... i wouldnt worry about price too much. This is a game destined for the bargin bin within a week after the release.. so it's gonna be cheap and chips on both platforms.

I liked Gabriel Knights. And though the backgrounds look nice - as you would expect from pre-rendered static stuff, the character models look poor...and you just know the animation, and voice actings, going to be terrible.

So, about the update, there won't be a English version of the game out until February after all? Because the German version (etc.) will not be having English audio I assume?

We've been told the UK release will not be before February 2011 so we can assume the game won't be available in English in the other countries.

Ooh, I dunno. Hell is pretty common in the UK...

:o)

I really like GOOD point and click adventure games (still give Hand of Fate a spin every now and then), so hopefully this will fall into the same category.

Is it going to be a budget release?

Speak of HoF, whatever happened to Kyrandia? It seems that it has died with Westwood which is too bad. If somebody decided to revive and invite Frank Klepacki for the next round of his touching music it would make not just one devoted fan happy. Well, we can always dream.
