Grid2 I've played a good game but gets repetitive after a while! Hopefully the new version of the more spectacular diversity! And more cars!

Car detail is a major lackluster to be even a sequel. they need to switch their focus on the next gen GPUs and consoles. this just feels so uninspiring.

That is because unlike others they use in game pics, vids. The gfx are top notch in their games with emphasis on environments which I prefer.

If they will be less schizophrenic when it comes to cars classes, I will get it. I mean, it would be nice to drive one core for some time and then get something else or different class. Not jumping from one to another. GRID was always fun to race and these sounds,....nice and clean. IMO 100% better than in Project Cars.

I actually had a lot of fun with Dirt 3. The "gymkhana" & drift stuff was dumb as hell & pretty much ruined the career for me, because you had to do it to advance. But I still had a ton of fun with the main "Rally" stuff.

Don't state opinions, especially not your oddball outlier opinions as if they were factual. Dirt 2 has 89% on Metacritic, and Dirt 3 has 86%. Both are therefore, according to the averaged judgement of the gaming press, extremely good games.

Codemasters made a lot of rally games before Dirt, but the best rally game is Rallisport Challenge 1&2 IMO, best track design, EA should let Dice make another rally game.

Rallisport was really good, not realistic, more of an arcade v-rally type racer, but it was fun. Richard burns was the best.

Colin mcrae WAS good, was even pretty good in DiRT1, but then they dropped the CM name and opted for appealing to the masses by making it all super accessible, and super shit. Rally took a back seat to the more american off road head to head races...and fucking gymkhana..urgh.

they dropped the CM name due to his death out of respect, rather than just rally stages it included other new forms of rallying and gymkhana, if you don't like it don't play it pretty simple but you're opinion which is just an opinion is not everyone's opinion of Dirt, i thoroughly enjoyed Dirt 3 (didn't play Dirt 2 but my cousin loved it), rally did not take a back seat at all, it just moved with the times.

Not sure if serious. And rallying most certainly did take a back seat. Rallying, by definition. Is point to point, one man (and co driver) vs the road. No direct completion. Time based. Using the same cars and making them compete is a different sport entirely (rally cross) and having shit like gymkhana and buggy and truck racing is a bigger departure still. they didn't move with the times...WRC is still alive and well as a focused sport. Codies just wanted a bigger slice of the pie and shat on their player base in the process by making an Americanised mess of a game.

They keep saying 'oh, we're going back to rallying in this next game' and it's always bullshit. There is still 50 compulsory drift challenges in gymkhana or some random circuit based truck races...fuck that. DiRT is shit.

It is his opinion though, and, for once, I kind of agree.

I much preferred Colin McRae when it just focused on Rallying (4 was all shit-shades of awesome), the damage modelling was excellent and really affected how your car drove. It was also much more authentic with just you, the road ahead, and the clock.
