GSY Preview PC

While summer is finally settling in with its usual low amount of video games news, we received a preview version of Blue Bytes upcoming game: Champions of Anteria. The game is due for release in late August and is published by Ubisoft. We will not talk about the somehow tumultuous development of the game (originally announced in 2014 as The Settlers: Kingdoms of Anteria originally) and we will go straight to the point with a few videos of this strategy / management turn-based game coupled with real time combat missions. As usual, if you want to read the full preview, head over to the French side.

First impressions

Champions of Anteria seems like an interesting game in which alternating different gameplay phases should manage to keep monotony and simplicity away. With its wacky story, its dynamic campaign and its apparent replay value, we hope the final version will be able to sublimate all those aspects. Yet, the lifespan of the game is still unclear and we will also have to wait until we can play the final build to make sure the combat system has enough depth to it to keep players interested in the long run.

Thanks for these videos, gonna check them out later. Also, the summer is a great time to try some games you missed in the past months.

If you all have time, I hope you try some games like Necropolis, Monster Hunter: Generations, Song of the Deep, Prison Architect, lesser known indie games, etc.
