Ever since The Wolf Among Us was announced, all the fans of The Walking Dead have been eagerly waiting for Telltale's new title. Once again, the American developer decided to adapt a famous series of comic books created by Bill Willingham, Fables. PC videos and our verdict are just a click away. As usual, for the full review, you'll have to visit the French side.
Verdict
With The Wolf Among Us, the guys at Telltale confirm how talented they are when it comes to telling a story and bringing charismatic characters to life. Provided you don't mind playing this type of game, the first episode (out of 5) is clearly very promising in terms of plot and atmosphere. Gameplay mechanics have not changed much since their previous title, which is why it will please those who loved The Walking Dead but also probably fail to convince those who did not. On PC, the game looks very good, with great art style, good anti-aliasing and rock solid framerate - the latter being choppier on consoles from what we've been told. Let's just hope the saving system will not suffer from the same bug as in The Walking Dead, as it forced player to copy/paste the saving file in the right folder for it to work properly. If you're into interactive stories and you want more of these, we recommend you give The Wolf Among Us a try as it obviously lives up to its expectations. Playing through the first episode made us want to discover the original material and read the comic books. Now what better seal of quality could we possibly find?

Nice to hear Telltale has still kept the quality of writing up after TWD. Kentucky Route Zero, The Journey Down, The Dream Machine, man it's a good time for episodic adventure games.
