To be honest this is not the case. Why avoid Black Ops. If PD did not think that GT5 could fight Black Ops, they are wrong in my eyes. Both game are a buy for every console-gamer. Even X360-gamers will buy GT5

Many people are not willing to spend 120 bugs a week for games (may they be as good as cake), so of course Sony at least consired avoiding some other big ass blockbuster game...

I might add that I find the trailer utterly gay. Every professional race car driver who says that console-sims are compareable to real life racing are just some bought dicks.

Saying that, I have no doubt that GT5 will be the most complete racing game ever created, but Simbim games are more spot on in the physics departement... just saying...

I don't think Vettel said it's like real racing. That's what I liked about the vid. It doesn't say it's the most realistic racing game ever, but it's certainly fun and good enough to also attract real racedrivers. I don't know if Vettel really played all the GT's, but it wouldn't be that crazy. Nice break from the whole F1 circus.

Hmmm I tend to think that many professional drivers do actually enjoy the GT series and might actually give positive testimonials without demanding boatloads of greenbacks. Also the series' creator is a pretty proficient driver himself and undeniably very passionate about every aspect of driving. Unless all these PC sim types have actually driven real cars in a racing situation they know pretty much dick about shit when it come to physics being more correct.

Tiresome armchair posturing bullshit is what that is.

No its not the Thrust SSC is the fastest car on land going around 763 mph and capable of breaking the speed of sound, oh and its real. You can't claim a fictitious car to be the fastest car on land.

In fact I don't think there are currently tires in existence that could hold the strain of the amount of Gs this would pull going through corners.

This car is designed by Adrian Newey RBR F1 teams, top guy. Surely he must know something :p

Vettel is cool. Too bad he had engine problem it was easy win for him in Korean GP otherwise. X1 prototype is too fast I think lol

Maybe you missed the part where they said "what if." The X1 was touted as the fastest race car without restrictions, of course it's all hypothetical, and it's meant to be a fun idea since this is a game after all.

Also, who the hell even considers the thrust ssc to be a car. it's a damn land rocket that's barely capable of turning. It'll hit a wall and blow up if you put it on any race track or public roads.

I can't believe someone even complained about this...

It has wheels and its driven by a drive on board the vehicle oh yeah its also real unlike the X1. I don't care who designed it if its not real it cannot make the claims they are boasting, people risk their lives and fortunes claiming these titles and for someone to try to design a car on paper and try to steal the title is both pathetic and insulting.

very true, seem like a petty thing to be complaining about really.

game looks amazing tho, some sections i honestly had trouble determining whether it was game or reality. there have been quite a lot of instances of that in GT5 trailers. probably the best visuals i've seen as far as photorealism goes. by next gen it'll be consitant enough to fool you 100% of the time. atm it's only about 20%
