It's now TTP's turn to upload his videos of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. Let's start with his detailed video of the ultra classy interface of the game.
Update: Added a replay from the now well known Eiger mountain of GT:HD, but with a tad more cars.
MAJ 2: Same track, but this time 60 fps gameplay. Thanks TTP!

Thanks for those useful words sonys marketing department guy.
Even with all those features its still GT - some ppl gotta love it whilst some ( including me ) wont even care. Sure it looks great but its still same boring driving in circles with shiny cars. No sense of speed and no damage modelling ( yet ! lol ), I'd rather play Burnout. Peace

Anyhow, very classy stuff
Forza just drove all the missing aspects of GT and MORE home! And i think GT should play a little catch up soon.

That's a lot more content than the previous prologues.

x360 cant even do 1080p native

something which runs at 1080p @60fps cannot be compared to a game which runs at 720p @30fps
As for a sense of speed in GT, you need to realize that on a real track, with street cars at least, there isn't a terrific sense of speed until you are cornering. Most tracks are designed for very fast race cars so street cars feel kind of lost on them. Once you get to a corner and are braking and downshifting rapidly, the weight transfer and being on the edge of grip etc all give you that sense of speed. But down a straight there really is a relatively minor sense of speed in a sports car-- once you get used to the feel of acceleration and you do get used to it (but still appreciate it!) if you own the car.
I'd like a few in car videos with the higher end cars like Ferrari as I am eager to hear more engine notes to see if they are accurate--not owning a Ferrari of course but having heard the engine in many videos and occasionally in reality too.
Why is everyone so hung up on damage modeling? I would appreciate less of the bumper car feel when colliding but I think PD could get that right without having to do extensive damage modeling. The issue is how the cars interact on track and can it get more realistic, not the graphic effect of damage. I'll take the graphic modeling if they come up with it but it really doesn't add that much to the game.
^^Above^^ link is about PS2's GT4's physics simulation capabilities, look at it being in a last-gen's GT game. Also it had over 720 cars and looked better than Forza 2... GT5 will go B3yond further in physics as it has transcended every other game in gfx and gameplay !, as well as in online features and capabilities !!!
A video showing GT4 physics in comparison with real-life.
I hate constant slipping sounds, but hey Farooq.. we'll buy the game, stop this nonsense, Sony guy.
I'm definetly buying Prologue, I'm a GFX whore and an interface-whore. And the interface is So sleek, and the backgroundmusic is like perfect.
x360 cant even do 1080p native
I quoted Farooq's post cause it was just a horrible example of uncritical rampant fanboyism that was full of inaccurate information.
I know GT5 will be amazing, but you guys are just going over the top, showering a game with praise without even having played it.
Always that fighting because of some games, where's the point?
You like the game, or you don't. But always those compare-wars between some games is just ridiculous. Let the game be what it is. You can't force people into buying a game, even with those datas like: GT shows 5million cars on screens and runs with 20million frames per second.... Yeah, it is a good point of the game, but we all know that fact, no need to always and always say it again. And no need to try to speek the game bad, 'caus it is not bad. It's just a madder of taste, as always !!!!!
Also I prefer the way the car handles in that game.
Polyphonic seem the hold on to some very PSone gameplay principles which makes Gran Turismo feel dated in some areas.
Oh, and PGR4 has still better scenery, weather and damage models than Gran Turismo.
And Forza 2 gameplay runs at 60 fps, 720p. Replays run at 30 fps with added effects.
All in all each series has its advantages and drawbacks. PGR4 is for me the most fun to play, with Forza 2 and Gran Turusmo being a bit boring.
Cars look amazing in GT5 though. I'm glad I have a 1080p TV.
x360 cant even do 1080p native
News for you, 360 can and does 1080p native but not on many games though. Without damage modelling or damage physics GT:P is just a good looking crap
game. Whats the point of making a realistic looking racer without realism?
Can they please skip this shit and create GT5 with all the realism!
Is this game native 1080p? The demo was scaled for all I know (round 1440x1080 if I remember correct)
But love the cockpit view! That's the feature, next to the better car graphic, they have that Forza 2 don't.
