...and that 1st mission looks like it would take forever. Give me Wing Zero and I'd end it in seconds with the buster cannon.

Wow, you guys are overexaggerating quite a bit and it is quite annoying. If you really don't have anything to add besides, "Is that a (insert console here) game?" then don't say it. One of those comments is already one too many IMO. Anyway, excited about this game because you get to use the Nu Gundam. IMO, you can never have enough Nu Gundam, arguably one of the most overpowered suits in the UC universe coupled with the cheapest pilot in the Gundam franchise. Amuro Ray is seriously untouchable after the original Gundam series. Just wish the Hi-Nu Gundam was included as a bonus. That suit is so freaking powerful, it can blow a freaking asteroid apart in one shot.

But why can't the game have good graphics? Having bad graphics puts into question the developer's game making skills in general.

Show me any other game that looks like this,
has 1000+ AI's running around on the huge battlefield all fighting each other,
runs at 720p,
and runs at 60fps.
Yeah exactly, there are none.

And before nonsense is stated:
GTA4 looks worse then Halo3, yet it can sometimes run at a terrible 15fps, averaging out at 25~ most of the time, only thing that makes GTA4 "look" and "feel" good are the awesome physics it has ( and no, gta doesn't have A lot of AI running around, the AI all get spawned in and out by zones around the player ).

N3 doesn't look much better, as a matter of fact the models are lower poly cept they all have normal maps on them.
Coupled with 30fps (dipping a lot at times), Spread out AI that just stands around waiting for you to arrive, terrible voice acting, and terrible animation in cutscenes.

KUF2 certainly looked great, but it was running on a ( presumably badass ) pc, yet it also didn't run faster then 30fps, so I doubt it will look that good AND run 30fps+ when it arrives on consoles.

So yeah the Koei games may not look the best, but that simply cause they do stuff that other games simply don't

Yeah... and thats why super mario 64 or heck even mario on the nes is a better platformer then little big planet, which is a pretty terrible platformer, but because of all the ( pretty cool ) shit you can do in the game it gets praised ( albeit somewhat deserved).
Same with FPS's, TPS's, RTS's.... core gameplay has never changed, they have just been adding on features, same as the ninja gaiden series, dmc series etc...
If it works simply don't fuck it up, or you will wind up with something like N3 instead ;o.

sry for the long ass post ;P.

Do you work for Koei or something?? Lol! I haven't seen 1000+ characters onscreen in any pics or videos of this yet and the video with loads of characters on screen doesn't exactly have much of a background. I think N3 looks better personally and haven't you seen Dead Rising? Amazing graphics with loads on screen and great backgrounds. Also there's Kameo's (a LAUNCH game) orcs vs elves battle scene. There are loads of others but I can't be bothered to remember them all now, lol!

How predictable, good job ignoring the rest of the post.
AI is AI, i wonder how fun it would be to engage every enemy on the battlefield in a dmc style fight..... yeah it shouldn't take more then let's say 5 hours to complete a single scenario ( killing every enemy)

No, but unlike many others here I actually do develop games ( no this isn't revelant to the topic ).
Dead rising is excused for the same reason as gta4, even though it looks fantastic, the area's are small and the AI's get loaded in. Yes size of area matters since a 360 could easily produce graphics surpassing like let's say Crysis..... if it only had to load a room that was 4m³ in size.

Small reminder, draw distance is something entirely different then loading AI's into memory.
Kameo is a good example though, but the area's are still smaller and both Dead Rising and Kameo still run at 30fps.

And oh, please call me back when you find the post where I said "1000+ characters on screen", I said no such thing ;).

That seems to imply that you're talking about this game and if you don't mean 1000+ characters then what do you mean? 100 characters with multiple personalities? Lol! Also it sounds like you haven't played either Dead Rising or Kameo since there's a big open space in Dead Rising that's full of zombies, in fact even most of the inside areas are pretty big and I haven't played it for ages but I'm sure it's 60fps with motion blur:

And the battlefield in Kameo is MASSIVE:

I just realised I missed the "2nd mission" video. That looks a lot better, at least it has more background graphics, and it's definitely doing a lot more than the PS2 could handle so I wouldn't say it has PS2 graphics but it still doesn't look that great. (Graphically I mean, I haven't said anything against the gameplay and I think I'll definitely try out the demo if there is one.)

Dead rising and Kameo are both 30 fps, the only capcom game this generation running at 60fps is DMC4.
And yeah I said 1000+ AI's, as in AI's loaded into memory that actually do stuff on the battle field, and even though kameo's battlefield is big, its far smaller then the battlefields in the warriors games.

I said Dead rising's areas were small cause well... they are if you compare them to the areas you get in any of the warriors games, some of the maps there are so big, the mini map actually needs to scroll.

And no I agree, I never said the games look great, cause well they don't but it's just annoying that everyone instantly yells: "ps2 game!". These ppl have obviously forgotten what ps2 gfx actually look like and simply think a game looks horrible if it doesn't compare to gears, uncharted, mgs, killzone etc..

THe Musou (or Dynasty Warrior) series is a love or hate thing... personally i love 'em, so i'll be picking this one up...

PS2 graphics??? Surely an exaggeration right? I mean PS2 couldn't even push a quarter of those pixels on screen, let alone keep a 60 frame clip (which Dead Rising, N3, etc... does not)... As for AI, umm it's the 1st level, anyone who has actually played a Musou knows the AI steps up past mission 3... (but i haven't played the gundam musou's yet... just going on DW)...

I do agree the graphics are not the most amazing ever seen, but very few next gen games even run at that clip... and frankly it will still sell hotcakes in japan and do well (250-500k) in the states as every other DW has done previously,...
