Namco-Bandai and Koei released this long video of Gundam Musou, and I don't think anyone can say this game is technically impressive. The space sequences are also quite "interesting".

at that resolution it looks more like a PSP game than a PS3 one.
I know it doesn't look that technically impressive, but it seems like something japan would eat up. There are some rather nice special effects here and there.
The reason the games are fun is because you're facing literally thousands of enemies that work as a "force" rather than individuals, meaning that they'll take you down by numbers and you'll take them out by numbers aswell.
If each one put up a greater fight it'd be the most frustrating series of games on earth.

Allied troops (with respective generals) do tons of work in DW and SW. Especially the later Empires editions. You can order your generals around a bit aswell, and using them all to push forward at the right moment is key to victory.
