Xbox 360

After a rather disapointing unveiling earlier this year, Gundam: Operation Troy is now back with these 2 pages scans in the latest Famitsu Weekly. Unless I'm mistaken this game looks much better than before.
Update : Added 4 images from the official flash site.

Looks damn good.

Dare I say it even looks better then the PS3 Gundam game? I still need to see it in motion, because as you said, it didn’t look to good last time we all saw it…

I believe the reason for the difference between the graphical quality of the PS3 and the X360 Gundam next-gen games lies in the fact that the X360 game is a Battlefield-multiplayer style game, while the PS3 version is more single player oriented, or maybe it is true that Bandai and other Japanese companies do assign their less talented studios to the x360 games. Just hoping thats not the case. BTW pics look better than 3 months ago.

Its odd, I havnt really been all that impressed with the PS3 shots of the game so far. I am sure it will turn out well as will this game, making likely the first 2 anime based games worth the plastic thier printed on. However the appearance of the PS3 version seems a bit to "Plastic-like" to me. Everything seems more CGI then real, which I dont really like in games. Not sure what to think of this one as we really dont know enough about it nor have we seen it actually moving.

I will say it looks a lot better then it did last time as others have mentioned.

Is it a sci-fi shooter with soldiers or is it a sci-fi shooter with mechs?

The scan shows mechs and 3rd person and FPS, so I am alittle bit confused.

It's a Battlefield style game with on-foot gameplay with mechs available to pilot. Hopefully that includes the flying ships!

This looks more appealing than the PS3 shots.

Isn't the PS3 Gundam game mech only? I haven't seen any infantry combat in that one. This X360 Gundam seems to have both infantry and mecha combat, which is very nice.

Yeah I think it is, the scale also looks off in the PS3 screens I've seen.

At least as an infantryman you're going to get the sense that these robots are friggin' HUGE!

if thats the how it is, it sounds interessting then. I was looking at the first scan, the last two shots down and it shows like a GRAW style gameplay and a FPS style, so thats awesome.

If you can choose how you want to play then it got my attention.

Damn, they just want the game to fail dont they? Why the hell would they make it an fps? Especially when the japanese market hates fps, and Japanese devs arent good at making fps in the first place.

Thats wierd. So there are two completely different Gundam games, one being developed for 360 and one for PS3?

Hmm, And the 360 one seems like it will have the broader gameplay.

to bad that they dont use a story like GUNDAM: WING
That would be awesome.. because you have both inside the gundam missions and outside the gundam.. and there are far more greater gundams

It appears to have the option for first OR third person gameplay. It isn't as if they'll sell many in Japan anyway, and with the success of Chromehounds they may well be banking on a decent Western release.

The last Gundam FPS game was on the Dreamcast and it was great.

Actually, it was the best Gundam game I’ve played but that’s not really saying much.

Omg... Thats SOME HUGE improvement. Not really comparable to the old screens, and now more Ghost Recon like. I like it.

Especially the foliage and the humans seem massively uppgraded.

The forest level looks good with the tree canopy shadows showing up on the Gundams. Looks on par with the ps3 gundam, but the gameplay still looks boring.

The one thing I hate about these mech games is the environments rely on far too much blandness. Endless flat textures (deserts, flat grass fields).

I like that the character models have been improved, but please do the same with the rest of the game world! thanks.

end rant.
