Halo 3 Beta on May 16!

Bungie announced just a few minutes ago that the Beta of Halo 3 would be available on May 16. And just because they can, they also released this new Vidoc. Be aware though that this video is from the alpha build, the beta should already look quite a bit better.

saw this earlier on Live, awesome indeed. Looks to be running pretty smooth considering it's from the Alpha version.

I think I just crapped my pants! Loving the shader work on the snow level and this is just the alpha build.....

I know it's an Alpha build, but it looks far from 'wow'...

There are certain details that look really great, but in general everything looks very familiar.

I'll reserve judgement until I see some final single player footage. Need Halo 3 now!

My comment refers to the snow level only. The other levels seemed okay to me but I know this is just alpha so Im sure (or should I say, I hope) it'll look a LOT better.

Yeah the snow looked great.

I just hope the multiplayer isn't a huge visual downgrade like the first GRAW, otherwise it will feel just like an upgraded Halo 2...

It's strange that bungie keep showing really early builds of halo 3...it's like a completely opposite approach to what they did with halo 2. Even in that brute doco thing they released before, they showed footage that was from a build months before that. There must be some reason for it.

May 16th is the week before my crucial exams, i've won a competition for my beta aswell as own crackdown for it, and im not even going to get to play it =/ Great :(
