I hope when they say more "cinematic" they mean like Halo 1 when you crash land and the ships are roaming around you, and made me hide in the waterfalls. Those kind of scripted moments that surprise you. But I doubt that's what they mean.

Yep loving what i'm reading and seeing, 3431 are bringing fresh ideas and fresh blood to the Halo franchise, i cant wait to see how it all comes together.

It's far more important that this game be genuine than fresh.
343 seems to know that fans want progression in the series.. but players will also not have something that isn't Halo in feel - both gameplay and esthetics.
I thought Halo Reach was the best Halo game I played.
Why?
I LOVED the atmosphere, and the fact i was NOT playing as Master Chief but rather someone elses story for a change, and having more characters around me and seeing them along and such.
Just because its been a success doesnt mean every single title though, its just the overal franchise and universe is a success.
I, including many, didnt like Halo 2, or think Halo 3 was all that special.
But yeah, I hope they can make the game as fun and exciting as Halo Reach and Halo was.
I'll wait to see more of this, but I'm not expecting anything astonishing to happen on the visual side of things. The devs talking about one of the maps with a mech in the middle being constructed sounded OK I suppose, but if that's the hight of their ideas, then it's not doing anything for me. Now, what would have interested me if he said that the massive mech can be piloted. Now that's the sort of shit I want to see. Halo is fantastic when battles take place with infantry and the vehicles. What I want to see is that ramped up to insane levels. Massive boss battles like the ones seen in 3 with the big spider, only larger. How about mixing things up a bit and actually being able to fly a Pelican this time? Give those vehicles a special emphasis like that only reserved for online games like Battlefield. I'm going on a bit, but if it's just the usual fare with wading through wave after wave of grunts and elites again, then what's the point? It's just Halo with prettier lighting 10 years on. Also, some environmental variety would be nice. Dynamic weather and destruction would really bring a game like this to life. Like I said, I think the devs should have concentrated on a new engine for the next gen for that to really drop jaws and impress like the very first Halo game did when it first came out on the original Xbox.
