Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary aside, Halo 4 is the first big original project Microsoft trusted 343 Industries with. Quite a challenge considering this will be the first new Halo game not developed by Bungie, which will clearly make fans even harder to please. Visually, today's images seem to indicate they are on the right track, though we should probably add a bit of aliasing to get a more accurate idea of what to expect in-game.

Especially coming from a PC focus, Reach ran like fucking GARBGE. Frequently dropped well below 30 frames a second, which should be totally unacceptable. The GI coverage has me relaly excited for this game though, it sounds like it is going in some really cool directions.

Sure I could say the sandbox visuals and the colofull mayhem are reasons for all, but never the true detail in in-game gameplay meets the expectation of cutscenes and the late bullshots/theatre render. And there is no excuse, there are great looking games visually and that are pretty open-world and with lots of stuff going on (bad company 2).
