Glorious, just like two anonymous noobs out there pickn' up the game to mess around in the halo sandbox world in Co-Op while drinking beer.

First, I'd like to point out that I have played every Halo game out there. Loved the third one, hated ODST. I think this looks a lot better than ODST but, I don't feel anything for Reach. I'm not sure if it's because I'm hooked on Master Chief or because of my hate towards ODST but why should I buy this?
I don't do multiplayer btw. I'm all in for epic campaigns. Epic story. Epic battles. Magic moments. Master Chief sure delivered on those.
Will reach? I'm doubtful. Will probably wait for the reviews and pick up the game for 30 euros instead of it's 50 euros, full priced.

I sure hope there's more to the environments than the typical ugly looking rocks with a copy/paste structure here and there. Halo 3 had way too many environments like that, and watching some vids of the campaign here and there, Reach seems to follow this horrible trend.

Visuals are, as with every Halo game this gen, OK and nothing more. I've come to the conclusion that they are incapable of creating top notch visuals to compete with the best out there. It's a letdown, but I hope the campaign will still offer some epic moments without the visual oomph one would expect from such a high-profile, high-budget system-seller.

The fantastic MP is were it's all at. The clean (read: bland) visuals actually make sense there and avoid too much 'noise'/clutter as can be seen in for instance: MW2.

it doesn't have lagged controls or monocolor schemes, so you are safe. : )

Halo's art style and story never did much for me, but it's always been a thoroughly enjoyable game.

I feel exactly the same way. I'm not really excited or anxious about the game, which is strange since I was an Halo fan since day one(when I bought my first Xbox, I bought Halo: CE and it was the best thing ever) and bought every Halo game on day one(except ODST). F1 2010 and FIFA 11 are much more anticipated by me than Halo:Reach. And even I doubt I'll give 30 € to buy this. Maybe Whan it's cheaper....

I find this group of Spartans to be much more interesting than the Chief( at least in game). They are actual characters( as much as I love the Chief, the game version was shallow). Reading the books makes the Universe much more interesting, and the scale in this game looks bigger than any other FPS I can think of. The gameplay, AI, and features make this the best value since the Orange Box, IMO. I love that bomber run with the space ship there at the end.

As far as the graphics go- After watching the Killzone 3 footage, I find them quite refreshing. Huge scale( the environs in the vid seem massive) Killzone looks great, but I almost(almost) find it boring, visually. Halo has it's own style, which is very nice. If you look closely you can see a bunch of warthogs driving and fighting in the background. I can't wait to get my hands on this thing...

With all the HD videos and such that I've seen, I categorically disagree that this only looks 'OK' visually. At times it's stunning, especially given the scope. I mean:

Absolutely. Those vids you posted don't exactly help the cause either. I have a really hard time trying to grasp how anyone can't think this game looks impressive from a visual standpoint. Oh well...

Countdown looks like an awesome MP map though, can't wait to try it out!

it's perfectly expectable. and a fair improvement over previous Halo games.

graphics are okay,sound is the same as always (some guns sound realy meh).

May be you are right but still it looks average for such a popular game. It is no crackdown2 lol but for a huge game like Halo more was expected ? For fans of series I guess it is not an issue.

Just go read what REACH is bringing sandbox,AI,scale,enemies, 4player coop, theatre, forge ect no game out there can touch it, there's no rails bullshit here.

Why are you doubtful? I find it baffling that you think Master Chief is an integral part of epic battles considering he's a fairly flat character.
