I'm sure Optimusv2 will play the hell out of this.
"Because no software can ship on this future platform without it going through the Windows Store, the team that built Skyrim would have to send it to Microsoft for certification. Then Microsoft would tell them if they could ship it.
Do you know what Microsoft's answer would be?
I do. It would be "no".
This is not speculative; it is certain. Skyrim is a game for adults. It has a PEGI rating of 18. If you read the Windows 8 app certification requirements you will find, in section 5.1:
Your app must not contain adult content, and metadata must be appropriate for everyone. Apps with a rating over PEGI 16, ESRB MATURE, or that contain content that would warrant such a rating, are not allowed.
And that's the end of it. No Skyrim for the Windows Store, unless of course the developers go back and remove all the PEGI 18-rated content.
That's 2011's Game of the Year, banned from the Windows Store. How about 2012? With several highly anticipated games yet to be released, it's anybody's guess which game will be selected. But a random sampling of internet predictions suggests some of the leading contenders are Max Payne 3, The Witcher 2, Mass Effect 3, Assassins Creed 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and Borderlands 2. Of the four of those that have already shipped and been rated by PEGI, how many could be shipped on Windows Store?
Zero."

I also agree with the guy Microsoft is doing very little for gaming.

And no, you are wrong. That was the guy who you're defending point was. He came out and took a shot at W8's userbase size by saying "who uses W8?", that was a comment not about support for the platform, but its size period. The difference of iOS and Android vs W8 is they lack any type of first party games or studios to support their platform with...they run exclusive off 3rd party titles. Yes, they are big userbases (in mobile), but my comments have to do more with how a platform holder SUPPORTS its platform with exclusive content in the gaming space. Again, Sony in your eyes is doing right by Vita by putting out exclusive games on their own mobile platform...yet somehow its bad when MS does the same thing? What part of the game is that?

Secondly as far as first party support for their platform goes. Microsoft is not good in that. Going by the xbox and even on 360. On Windows they barely did anything. So I am not sure how this game on Win8 all of a sudden is amazing support for their platform. WTF ? For XO they have some 2nd or 34d party exclusives probably time exclusives. But we need to wait and see over a long period of time how it works
