Trailer Xbox 360

Halo Waypoint, the Halo dedicated portal, will be launched on Xbox Live on November 5. It will allow players to see episodes of Halo Legends - the series of shorts developped by Japanese animation studios - but also listen to special podcasts or watch trailers among other things. It will also be possible for players to follow their Halo career as shown in the following trailer and the images accompanying the news.

It's strange how much of a Halo fanatic I've become in the last month or so. I can't seem to stop playing it nowadays, whereas before I thought of it as nothing special really. My new found affection for it has come out of nowhere, and without a proper reason.

Anyway, this should be cool I guess - not that I know much about it.

The reason is, I think, that you may have just begun giving it a fair shake and are just realising how good it is. I think some people( not saying you, necessarily) went into the game already looking for reasons not to like it( as happens to highly popular franchises). I've been having some of my best gaming moments playing ODST: Firefight. That game is intense. It's amazing how different you have to play it because of the subtle tweaks Bungie made from Halo 3. "Killionaire!"...

I don't have ODST; I'm talking purely about Halo 3. I was hyped for the game months before its release in 2007 (or whenever), bought it on the first day and thought the campaign was actually pretty sweet. Then I played the online multiplayer and found it to be incredibly fun, but for some reason gave up playing it after a few months. Since then I've played it on and off, but just recently I've developed a bit of a fascination with Halo yet again, and have been playing Halo 3 (the campaign and online) most of the time when on my 360. Strangely enough, I think ODST itself and how interesting I thought the game looked - despite me not even buying it - somehow reignited my interest in Halo. One thing I've always liked about it is the universe itself, most notably the designs of many of the races and planets. I've made a real effort recently to get a grasp of the story itself and, although it's been a bit of a chore at times, it'll probably benefit me for future Halo games (and existing ones).

All of this makes me so, so excited for Halo: Reach - and we know next to nothing about that game.

I remember seeing a trailer for the Halo anime and there weren't any gunfights. It was pretty funny

LOL I was gonna say the exact same thing. I feel the same sympathy for any game coming out around the same time as MW2.

Nah, I didn't abandon Halo for COD4 - I played that for an even shorter amount of time.

This happens to me too. I'll put down the Halo for a bit, but I always come back( usually to play all of them on succession). Same for Gears, though not to as great an extent...

been into Gears 2 Horde lately - really wish they'd patch it so you could pick which wave you want to start from..most games only last the first 10 before people start quitting out. Either that or update it so you can drop in and out.

Such a good game mode let down by developement choices. Alot like ODST's lack of matchmaking in firefight

This is why making a good friends list of people into the same stuff is so important in these games. If you make a custom game and just invite people, you can play on any wave you want and any map etc... Or even just use players recently met if no friends in the game.
