The other parts were really good.

Quantic Dream will not let us down and I guarantee that this game will be an absolute gaming masterpiece!.
But as Fr0sty stated, it's not about the grahpics. If the story and the atmosphere delivers, Heavy Rain will succeed. Can't wait to see more!
Now the club/strip scenes were hot!
The videos are just stunning. the lighting, the animation the deforming mud...everything is spearheadedly rendered. I love how raindrops are rendered on characters' faces. the characters' eyes expressions are a bit dead right now but its already becoming a full blown interactive movie like thing. moreover:
-it has around 60 chapters that are totally without any fixed conclusion. every action changes the entire scenario.
-it has full 3D shop spaces where you get to explore and deal things.
its a solid looking interactive movie thing with drop dead gorgeousvisuals. its funny it looks better than alan wake right now being in the same genre somehow.
try again.
Edit: Damn, only just saw the footage, talk about dull. The voice acting is terrible, the script is cliche, and the whole 3 minute video consisted of nothing but QTEs. Ninja Blade got a ton of hate for the quick time events, but people still love this? Graphic whores mayhaps?
There wasn't enough detective work or hiding bodies being a criminal and it was more linear than people claim it isn't.
That being said this looks just as interesting, the 4 main characters and the ability to carry on even if 3 of them die is a great idea. I agree the voice acting looks shoddy in places but I can overlook that if this game offers something different.
I never complain about QTE's, I enjoy them as long as they aren't the whole game.
If you hated it, don't pre-order so fast, wait for a demo.
I usually hate quicktime events, but in a game like this it's a bit more tolerable than lets say an action game like GOW or Ninja Blade. The bit I've played of Fahrenheit, I definitely enjoyed so I'm definitely keeping an eye out for this one.
the night club environment in the dev interview video with lots and lots of NPCs and that outside daytime rendering scene is the most beautiful thing this generation yet. if its photorealism gets to the right ends it might surpass the visual fidelity of Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2.
Can't wait for PS3 price drop! $299 PS3 Slim = Day 1
