Oh yes! Hitman is back and that 16 minutes gameplay footage was great! The new engine rocks. Nice particle effects and the lighting is fantastic. Real eye candy.

well it LOOKS good but the gameplay does look worrying. Seeing through walls? and all these scripted events. I now see where all these "Conviction" comparisons come from.
Hope its just a training level like Blood Moneys first mission, if not, oh dear another franchise going the wrong direction, fingers crossed though and will reserve jusgement when another level is shown, sometime before its out too so there is still hope.

Devs have confirmed you can finish all levels in total stealth.
Problem is it's gone all "traditional" stealth. The whole point of hitman was that it was a stealth game where you was invisible in broad daylight, invisible among the enemy and invisible to your victims. Your stealth wasnt crouching in shadows. It was your ability to blend in and BE a different person. Now it looks like splinter cell, crouching in shadows, throwing guys of ledges and crazy, action movie gun-fights. That aint hitman imo. Hope this is not indicative of what the other levels are like, cos i'm seeing a bit too much kane and lynch in my hitman atm.

I think people need to keep in mind this is a linear demo(probably tutorial mission) and that the Xray vision will be off on higher difficulties.

Exactly, they have said that the big open ended levels would still be there. And this whole stuff about how its looking so similar to other games..i'm glad. I'm glad we're getting a cover system, i'm glad 47 can now climb onto some things. The complaints about instinct mode are kinda wrong too.
Hitman has mini-maps with moving dots for humans and enemies all the time, now that gets replaced with being able to look through walls, seeing enemies in red lines....so basically it keeps you IN the game. Personally i'm not a fan of the red lines and stuff and probably be using hardcore mode only...but some complaints are just not true.
just watched the full video. Alot more impressive than the recent max payne showing thats for sure. Great use of lighting..and atmosphere looks spot on.. i'm actually quite hyped for the game now

Oh come on. Clearly this is a linear demo level to show off the variety of gameplay.
I mean, I don't know about you, but in the previous Hitman games I, at times, just went into a level guns a blazing. There was little stopping the player from playing through all the previous game like that.
Although this is a linear demo, it looks very Hitman to me.

wait till you see the full 16mins.. theres plenty of that going on, i certainly didnt come away thinking "this isnt Hitman"
