I wonder if the episodic nature is working for this game, or if it is just slipping more and more under everyone's radar. Or maybe, a new episode means new coverage every month.
So how is this game going? Do anyone have any rough numbers?

How about playing the game for yourself and see. Its not that deep of an issue. Its a video game that has full game episodes/DLC that extends the life of the game and allowing the Devs to further optimize the engine and code. As has always happened and will continue to happen.

This episode has some fucking horrendous framerates on PS4. Crowds are all well and good but they cripple performance. Sapienza was so much more polished.

Actually i was referring more to the economic side, if the episodic schedule is really doing good to the game from a sales point of view.
Personally I never liked Hitman very much, but even if I did, I would wait for the "complete package" once everything has gone out and problems have been solved. Waiting for every extra mission/episode cuts my interest in the long term.
I was just wondering how many other people were doing the same reasoning, and if it would have been better (from a sales point of view) to just polish everything and sell the complete adventure.

I am doing that same. I was so excited (nostalgia) when FF7 remake was shown. Then when it was announced it was going to be episodic I basically just lost all interest. It's just a way to force digital distribution and incrementally fund development to stop resales which I do after I beat a game that I will never play again once completing it.

its a shame that its a one off episode, as in even if you manage to complete it, you cannot replay it again - at least give the that option as a reward for players successfully doing it...
