DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!
as for hitman. bully for you and your lack of disconnects. there are plenty of people with issues though and it isnt some conspiracy bullshit either...it's not even like personal connections are to blame either... it's entirely a server side issue and they've admitted as much.
be a corporate apologist all you like, but the fact is the game is an anti consumer DRM fest in it's current state.
it has locked single player content and unlocks behind an online connection, a connection that is ropey at best. and when it does disconnect you you lose all progress in regards to unlocked items and starting locations, and on top of that, don't even have access to the challenges (most of the games replayability) i mean, if you even want to use the sniper rifle you have to be online...what sort of walled off bullshit is that? people keep bringing up that it combats cheating, but the game is cheating for you anyway when it awards you 210,000 points (the maximum) because it thinks you completed the level in zero fucking seconds. then you have the issue of the recent patch TAKING AWAY the games pre-order bonuses and not fixing a damn thing. and that's not even counting the fact NON of this was mentioned prior to sale. even in their own FAQ regarding online and offline play they make no mention of locking out challenged and unlocked items. they've given us the very bare MINIMUM of content that's accessible offline and you want me to applaud them? fuck that!
there is a reason people are getting refunds from steam and why the game has piss poor reviews from users. and i can say right now if i knew this was the way they were going to handle things i wouldn't have touched this game. which is genuinely a shame because the core gameplay is great. but much like MGSV it's surrounded in a bunch of corporate BS decisions that ruin it.
here's an idea...just look at their twitter or the official forums...you actually have to actively search for positive opinion. people aren't happy and rightly so. there was no mention of key single player features being locked behind an online connection. but IO got their money...who care's right? pfft i mean is there really any justification as to why even mission ratings at the end of a stage require online? sending that data to the leaderboards, sure, but displaying it for people who are offline? really?
but i would argue there is no reason for the divisions story mode to be online only given those missions and the world itself aren't reliant on there being other people around. the world it empty beyond the hubs and competitive play is walled off anyway. ideal world it would have worked like destiny in that sense...BUT...as i said. it was online only from the start. they weren't trying to mislead anyone. people bought it knowing exactly what it was. and besides some dumb choices in regards to player collision in HUB areas, the servers have actually been pretty solid. hitmans servers however...have not.
if you don't understand the difference it must be very easy to sell you less then you paid for on ebay lol.
