It's basically AAA budget open-world Harry Potter's universe game. Which at least the AAA budget should have been done for the franchise a long time ago. Though some of the PS2 Harry Potter games were fun, even though they were low budget license games.
I'm saying this as someone who never read and don't really have any interest in the Harry Potter books, only having watched the movies and am not a Harry Potter fan. It's just one of those franchises that for how big it is - specially before the author opened her mouth to say shit, when it was even bigger - it never got the AAA budget treatment.
So I hope it does well both critically and commercially. Hopefully, it inspires more companies to actually invest AAA budget and properly do licensed franchise games. Both Batman and Spider-Man have proven that when they are done with respect and passion, the result is always great. Cheap cash grabs can go to hell though.
Is it just me or do you see a lot of microtransaction possibilities?

The game's community manager also stated the same on Twitter:
"We've seen this question coming up and want to set the record straight.
There are no microtransactions in Hogwarts Legacy."

PS. Forgot to mention that the FAQ is available in multiple languages, in case anyone wants to share it with their non-English speaking family and friends. Specially children who like Harry Potter, but aren't fluent in English. I could be wrong, but I would bet Hogwarts Legacy will be available in multiple languages since usually Warner Bros. games do that.
