I find it really respect less that they now replaced the fake successor with the real one. Kim Jong-un is a real person and to imply that his plans are to take over the world and to occupy the U.S.A etc. is going to far.

What's supposed to happen in the last level of the game, do you then kill a virtual double of him?

In CoDBLOPS, you kill a double of Castro. Yeah, I think they can do this.

I'm surprised there is no fuzz about this game, while there was such a big controverse with MoH.
Because this could be mainly offensive to North Korea (albeit in a "glorifying" way) and not really to the "underdog" USA.

If anything I just find the scenario unlikely. While COD4 was reasonably plausible being similar to current events at the time, this comes across as plain wacky really...

Technically North and South Korea are still at war as well.

I think this is a controversial game. They are actually showing and mentioning the names of the presidents (father and son) of North-Korea and showing the real army and some citizens. This is not past, this is present. There is a conflict at the moment between North and South Korea going on. The US is active at this moment to contain the conflict with military force present. I'm not saying there will be a war, but when it does turn out into a war, it's a very dangerous one as China, the EU and the US will have to take military actions. Knowing North-Korea is one of the few countries that have nuclear weapons and are not scared of using them, it's a bit tricky to say the least.

Enough about that: I'm not impressed by the trailer. There is something lacking, but I can't put my finger on it.
I agree that it's kinda weird that they are using real names, but I don't really see it being a huge issue. North Korea is so whacked out right now, no one will notice. No one in that country has any access to international media anyway, and their leader is such an insane narcissist that he will take this as a compliment. From what I have heard, his successor is even crazier, so no worries there. (BTW, if you doubt his loony-ness, here is a great top ten list of his craziest claims: http://listverse.com/2010/05/30/top-10-crazy-facts...)

In addition to that, the plot for this game is so far fetched, it reads more like a sci-fi game. How the hell does a tiny country that is smaller than 32 of the US states, with a population smaller than California or Texas, manage to invade the US? Not to mention the fact that there are sci-fi style magneto weapons, and the most unbelievable aspect of all: North and South Korea joining forces and conquering most of Asia...lol. Although the way we have been spending lately, I can definitely see the financial collapse of the US(as portrayed in the game) as a realistic possibility.

if anything north korea would be pleased to know they have a game where they successfully take over america and kill shitloads of innocent people since, you known, they're run by a psychotic.
