Gearbox has announced the release of Homeworld Remastered Collection on February 25. Including Homeworld 1 and 2 on classic and remastered versions, both games have been reworked. This compilation also offers access to several multiplayer modes. This announcement is accompanied by a trailer and some screenshots.

The graphical update looks a little disappointing. I hope there's some improvement on physics/collision detection. Still nice to have hw back.

This year is going to be worse in terms of 'remasterd' games.

Re-releasing a PC game may seem pointless, but sorting the kinks out on modern systems and making them available on modern distribution networks strikes me as a positive. I'm really happy that we're getting Grim Fandango on Steam and GOG in a couple of days for instance.

It's a slippery slope though.

The visuals are a huge improvement wtf people... This is not Homeworld 3... Most of the HD/Remakes look barely better then the original (RE HD for example) this is a big change, start up the original if you forgot how it looked.

I can not wait to play these amazing games again. They did a great job.
