Horizon: Zero Dawn new trailer, date

Trailer PS4

Sony has released a brand new trailer for Horizon: Zero Dawn which is entitled Aloy's Journey and reveals more about the main character's origin. Bitrate is not as high as it usually is but still better than what you'll find elsewhere. The action-RPG from Guerrilla Games has also a new release date: February 28 2017 (May 1 in Europe).

I wish every trailer was 30 or above bitrate... Still way better than YouTube quality though.

Fantastic graphics, story seems interesting too.
I wouldnt mind playing as her father though, like his design.

There is some shadow popping in the trailer but i still don't believe this is ps4. It looks as good or better than Uncharted 4 and Horizon is open world. It must be Neo or Guerrilla has the made some impressive optimizations.

I think this is just your typical In-engine trailer. Gameplay will look worse on the original PS4 or I would be very surprised if a Open world game with decent draw distance and so much detail can look like that and still run smooth with those huge robotsaur animations.

however maybe the neo with beefed up specs could get close to that? hmmm...

I don't think you are giving the dev enough credit. Their games have always been visually superior and are always right up there with ND on aesthetics. They know graphics. Lots of people criticized Killzone Shadowfall but even considering it's extremely rushed release and issues, it's still better looking than most games out there.

Exactly, not sure where that comes from. Danalyzer steps it up a notch with even more information from absolutely nothing.
Going by history the game will more than likely succeed technically. Killzone 2's actual gameplay reveal at E3 2007 was massively improved over the next year and 8 months to release.
Killzone Shadowfall matched or even exceeded its debut trailer from Feb 2013. When you look at Killzone 2 to this day you still wonder how they managed to get a game looking like this on PS3 over 7 years ago i.e. better than some current gen games today.
If we are talking graphics and tech, Guerilla Games are THE studio to have faith in. Didn't we see a good bit of gameplay when the game was revealed just like Shadowfall? Some people have forgot that already.

This is the only PS exclusive I'm mildly interested in until Naughty Dog decides to make a new game. I'm hoping that changes after E3.

Such a fantastic art direction, their designers should get a raise. Wow!

it looks lovely, and the story sounds interesting too...i'm intrigued. gameplay looks fun based on the reveal. so the only thing i don't like, is the same thing i didn't like in the reveal gameplay...the voice acting. it's pretty cringe.

also it better have plenty to do in such a huge open world

Not in-game graphics representative of the finished game. They're doing a Ubisoft. The actual game wont look this good.

with rumours of an updated PS4 floating around and looking more and more likely, i'm not sure that's true. plus, you'd think if you were going to BS people like ubisoft do, they'd at least render it well enough to remove the shadow glitches, no?

If the story as good as it's premise, then this will be the next killer PS4 (or Neo) title. It has that The Last of Us feel to it, just with robo-dinosaurs. Sadly this game got pushed back to 2017. *pouts*

It looks amazing but I do not seem to like Aloy. This was the best thing last E3 so hope the character is good enough to play lol. I guess since trailer is already released they will be playable demo at E3. Q1 2017 seems about right. I do not think Q4 2016 is a good time for a new IP
