EA sent us this image from Superman Returns. Even though it has HUD and all, it's still not an in-game screen according to the info in the mail. Don't ask me why.
No, let's admit that this game looks interesting for a change. I've blocked out all the graphics haters in an attempt to continue enjoying this site because I used to once.
This game is made by the Madden guys; Tiburon Studios, and I quite frankly find the screens released so far fairly intriguing. If it controls well and you can manipulate these huge things convincingly, I think it could be a lot of fun.
For the record, when people started complaining about the city looking dead in the other thread about this game I almost stabbed myself to death with my tablet pen.
it says that this screenshot is a "visual target" image, meaning this is what they are hoping to make the game look like....its kinda funny, but then it just makes me angry. So this is actually just a render. Im confused tho as to why they want the game to look like shit.

LMFAO i feel what your saying, i cant trash the game right now, i havent seen real gameplay yet. I seen the pics in the game informer magazine. The pics released online and videos shown online are not even up to par with the pics in that magazine. Ima reserve my view on this game because of what i saw and read in the game informer magazine until i see some real gameplay. One thing tho this game already has a strike against it in my view because its made in one of the EA departments that i hate.
You guys have to remember, though, that most, if not all, of Metropolis is open for Supes to wade through. When a game goes for quantity, obviously quality will suffer. So, let's hope this game is HUGE. Big enough for us to forget about the details.
Yea releasing a pic such as this is not too smart pr, but maybe they are releasing this saying this is a target image quality they'd like to reach (who are they fooling) then surprise everyone by releasing screenshots of them surpassing this screenshot so they can say they overshot their target image quality or something.
I highly doubt for a 360 game (we know there will be some bad looking ones out there), but I highly doubt superman's leg will look that bad in the final game and that car if it doesn't make a drastic turnaround wont be quite as annoying as we see there. They just need to smooth couple things out this game could end up being surprisingly good they sounded really ambitious about this one so I'll keep an eye on it.
Keep in mind there were times when nobody here was impressed with ghost recon ;) So keep the faith guys I for one would REALLY like for there to be atleast one really good superman game for once.

The hud might not necessarily be in that style or in that position when it finally releases.
Or maybe this screen is more about the cinematic angle than it is about the quality of the images we are looking at. How will they convey the action to us they might seek to give us these really cool looking angles to add a more dramatic feel to the game. I'm overthinking things though i'll just wait to see the next images of the game.

Why is it that his red super undies stretch out as if they're permanently attached to his leg? They should stay in place and only the blue leggings should stretch, not the super undies.

And I also dont understand why this screen doesn't get a 'not worthy for the xbox360' when you compare this to a much more solid looking game posted in news a couple of days ago.

what you have seen are the cgi movies released last week I presume. I actually thought they looked just as weak as this... And why wouldnt it since it used the ingame assets. Just rendered with some better lighting and effects.
