Very nice visuals, but I don't think this game is for me. Something about the combat turns me off big time. I was loving the platforming and exploration, but something about this game gave me a "cheesy" feeling. Also, the environments felt empty to me for some reason. Like they had no life to them. They looked GREAT, but something about them felt lifeless and boring to me.

For the record... i'm not a hack n slash fan, so that is prolly why i'm hating the combat. I'm sure that fans of these types of games will be right at home while playing Enslaved.

I'm not saying Enslaved will be a bad game, i just don't think it's for me.

.
I'll never understand when a dev puts in so much vegetation and doesn't animate it. At that point the foliage become architecture. It sucks because a little movement would really make the world come alive...

I agree... Mainly the first few areas from the video is where I noticed it the most. The later levels seemed to have a better feel to them. I don't know why , but i wasn't expecting this type of game from Enslaved at all. I don't really know what I was expecting, but this wasn't it.

Does anybody know whether this game has an open world?
Because that was a big let down in Prince of Persia... I don't want to waste my time collecting shiny lights to get stronger or something. You also spend most of you time repeating the same thing in other open-world games like assassin's creed or even infamous.
I ope it's more like uncharted or ... maybe Tomb Raider, where any part is unique and most of all: diversified.

Looks stunning. Sure not a lot of things moving in the environment, but there hardware limitations to keep in mind.

Nah man, there are a lot of games that looks pretty damn good with foliage etc... Check FarCry 2 for example.
Enslaved use UE3, so i'm not surprised from this lifeless world in.

I still think the games looks very cluttered, and it's probably beacsue of the textures in tandem with the oversaturation of colors. Hmm.

Id say this looks quite a bit more vertical and densely detailed than FC2. Its pushing alot of polygons. I personally dont have a big problem with foliage being solid. The surrounding environment is beautful vibrant and lush, theres more than enough catching my eye

The environment looks boring and apathetic. There are many trees, grass and greenish objects but no art is used to place them in the suit location.

platforming looks cool, but thats about it. it's not working for me, i HATE the oversaturated colours, because they ruin what is otherwise an artisitcally great looking game. combat looks mediocre too, and since thats going to probably be 70% of the game, i just dont think it's for me.

I don't think whether the foliage moves has anything to do with an engine, just with whether the devs bother to animate them. Hell, I'd be fine with a clever space-warp modifier that shouldn't eat up too much power, especially if it's just kind of looped...

It's hard for me to believe this game is 'designed'. Everything looks so random. And the environment is too low poly for a next-gen game.
It moves nicely, though. Reminds me of Force Unleashed.

I think it looks good. They are probably using latest unreal engine like Bulletstorm and Gears3 ?But I do not like this game for some reason. May be it was POP I would consider with Arabic environment of course :P

I think Castlevnia will be much better

What I'm Liking about this game is that it seems extremely unique not just in style but in story telling, PoP was a great game because you witnessed the blossom of a relationship, Enslaved seems as strong so I hope I'm in for a treat.
