Shadow Complex has been quite quiet since E3, so it's with great pleasure that we welcome a few new images of this so nineties action game by the creators of Gears of War. Like Metroid and Castlevania at their time, Shadow Complex will be divided between exploration and shootings on a 2D plane. The game is planned to be released exclusively on Xbox 360's XBLA by the end of summer.
Update: Gameplay video added.

And thisgame won't be out by the END of the year. It will be out in august from what I've heard.

Commented on 2009-07-17 16:31:11By the way, was it only me that instantly thought "nathan Drake" at pic 2? I guess mr Drake is the most bland and unnoticeable character ever but still.
Commented on 2009-07-17 16:39:23as for GOTY sorry i think you should wait and play the game before coming out with things like that.

As for downloadable games, i think we're starting to see where the business i headed. Sooner or later downloadable games will be the standard, unless we see an abrupt halt in Moores law or something :)

Price...well in theory games should come to us cheaper as they save money on publishing, processing, shiping ect... but we've all seen how DLC is being manipulated.. having games as digital download gives them a licence to exploite future dlc all the more. Plus games on adverage now weigh in around 7gigs..thats only gonna increase. Thats alot of harddrive space, so the few quid that you're saving on not "paying for a box" you'll soon be losing more to alternative harddrives.
Oh and then theres the fee's that MS and Sony charge publishers for sticking their games on there.
Its the future..but its not a pretty one

I'm pretty excited for this game, i just hope they do a decent job at spreading difficulties. I want an easy mode, being as I'm just not that great at games like this.

Commented on 2009-07-18 00:30:01 In reply to whatscrackinlooks cool tho, not something i'm excited about, but it's nice to see the 360 is getting games that go beyond the usual 'arcade' quality. MS shouldnt have put a limit on the araced from the get-go imo. all it did was...well, limit developers.
