They've really outdone themselves with this game. The game is already completed sadly though we'll have a crappy demo on xbox live for the 25th. It'll be that horrible demo that was distributed via the maagazines hopefully it doesn't cause people to change their minds about the final game because the demo is nothing like the final.

THe thing is, all the people I know who've palyed themo, loved it and plan on getting the game. It's the same old internet people who insist the demo is the worst piece of crap ever produced. I haven't played it yet, but I'll check it when it's up on live, I'm going to at least give this gmae a rent. Alll you have to say is fully destructible environments and I'm there.

I know I wont be disappointed regardless of what the demo is because I know its a DEMO (can't expect too much), but its just annoying when people compare it to the final game.

this game is shaping up well. loving the last two screen. looks like any game that launch 2006 for the 360 will be solid because they aint rushing it to release. from these pics the game look next gen.

its like building a house the foundation of to make first then the structure - and before the owners of the house move in to the house - the designer etc of the house of to smooth out the wall surface then paint it up. and then yull have a finish house - so the same thing goes for the games.

Whats so wrong with the Demo? How do you know that the final version will turn out better? This Game isnt out in the States yet, isnt it?
The Only thing i know is that the Game had some serious frame rate issues, an if this happens in the demo, im pretty sure it happens in the final game, too...

Well of course you are, because you've played the final game. The fact is none of us here have, however its been said by people who have played it, that it's much better. we'll have to wait and see.

The demo doesn't even have the ragdoll drivers, so do you honestly think that they took the demo which had framerate issues and then ADDED ragdolls to it? ;)

Play the demo and then watch this latest trailer, you'll see the differences almost instantly.

developers said that the may cut some of the physics to get rid of the framerate issues. they want smooth 60fps.

the demo is stuttering but nevertheless A LOT of fun! just give it a try and don't stop playing it after a few minutes... I was disapointed to say the least but it got better and better the more I played it!

I would even buy the game if it would look and stutter like the demo! and these screenies here look much better than the demo... cars have much more detail and shader FX (chrom and stuff)

I think most of us would be happy for some physics to be dropped to enable a solid 60fps.

Still, should framerate even be an issue with a next-gen machine? I guess no matter how much power the 360 has, it's up to the developers to expose it.

hm, about the framerate issues.. does anyone remember Crazy Taxi for Dreamcast ?
for me this game was at that time the funniest arcade racer ive played, altough there were several popups and framedrops

so i guess it wont be much different with full auto, instead of picking up customers ull shoot and race the others to death :P

oh, and i also played the demo

Nice crisp textures, a little more geomtery would not go a miss though. May be as it all can eb blown up it would be too 'expensive'?

About the demo, yes it was missing a lot of things and felt awkward but if you knew anything about games you would be able to tell at the stage of creating that demo it just wasn't complete. These screens and new trailers make it look 10 times better, so I have to say I'm quite excited, and think of the demo more like an interactive teaser trailer.

May be in the plans for 4 or 5 yrs, but they only started developing it for the xbox360 using the dev kits microsoft gave out. And that wasn't given out 4 or 5 years go.

It's the lack of time given to explore the fully potential of the console that is letting developers to not bring out a game with solid frame rates and extraordinary visuals.

If a developer was given 1 yr with the console to understand it and explore it..and then build a game..we would have a different game altogether. I bet each day these developers are finding new and surprising facts about the console. It's only been a few months of the console's launch..by late 2006, developers would have enough time with the console and have explored it's true possibilities.

I thought it was awful. Bad controls coupled with framerate slowdowns (and no reason in sight for them) really ruined it for me. I was looking forward to it, but now I think I'll just hold out for Burnout, unless it gets really good reviews.

first I thought the controls are bad but not after playing the demo for some time... it's not that much different than any other arcade racer (just avoid the handbrake and slide only by using the normal brake a bit).

@splicer: so you would prefer a 360 without games for a year or what!? you always could wait for developers to unleash the full potential but by then the hardware is already old again... look at the PC market, there is not one Graficsboard that is pushed to more than 30% of its potential. And I have no idea what is not ok with Full Auto ( but framerate, hope they fixed it) I think the game is damn amazing!

btw. its just gone gold yesterday!

I remember the Full Auto devs at E3 saying that the game was already running well on the dev kit (the G5 or whatever they were using) and saying once they got the real hardware, with the real triple core, etc, the game would run at 60fps locked, no question.

Oh well.

it's still possible that the game has 60fps without slowdowns....

but normally the devs would cry that out loud "locked 60fps, no more slowdowns in retail" if the ppl have reacted like they did with the choppy demo. remember Bizarre with the "fixed texture streaming"...

but now it's gold and nobody has seen smooth 60fps until now right? For me it's not a good sign.

Isn't that the purpose of a demo? To get an idea of what the game is like? If it doesn't accomplish that, it's sorta pointless..

But if it's old code, you're right, it's pretty much a broken demo from the get go, huh...i'll still download it. Won't be the first bad demo of a (hopefully) good game i've played.

In the final game there are little to no framerate issues. If the demo has these problems by no means will the final game HAVE to be stuck with the same issues.

They've been optimizing like crazy. They'lve completely stopped working on full auto yesterday. It isn't releasing until the 14th, but them being completely done now should tell you that they are confident the game is ready and have handled the issues. I mean just look for gameplay videos after that demo came out and you'll notice that there are no little to no fps drops during gameplay no matter how crazy it gets.

In a demo you can't expect it to live up to anything like the final game. Go look at some ign gameplay videos of the game recently there are tons of 60fps solid gameplay movies.... The game will run 60fps with little to no frame rate drops no questions asked. Just watch the latest gameplay videos and watch the final game be released and it''ll be perfect. Hey if you guys check out the 1up of show of a guy that went up there to personally play the game there were no fps drops to speak of he said the game was perfect. I'll link you.
