Codemasters announced the release in 2008 of Rise of the Argonauts, an Action-RPG developed by Liquid Entertainment. First screens and trailer inside.

Oooh interesting....looks like it may have a pretty good game play mechanic in place (of course hard to tell from this early kind of video).

Good idea for a game tho....could be one to watch. Looks like it was made for co-op as well but we shall see!

This looks pretty nice as well, though. I don't like this type of character design, but otherwise interesting.

Ironically this sounds like the Eternal Darkness/God of War crossover that you'd expect Too Human to be.

They are kind of following the original tale, but not word for word. You are searching for the Golden Fleece though :)

Rather than following the popular myth beat for beat, however, the creative team has taken several liberties to tell the story they want to tell. Instead of Jason pursuing the Golden Fleece because of a plot to kill him by his evil uncle Pelias, for example, Jason now seeks the Fleece to restore the life of his dead bride who was murdered on their wedding day (no word yet as to who the bride is; be it Jay's first spouse Medea, his second wife Glauce [who we suspect it is], or a completely fictional woman created for the videogame).

You find? I realise it's early, but I thought the animation looked pretty clunky. I really hope it isn't, as I too am a sucker for Greek mythology.

Thanks for the link Kenshin2418! Me like Greek mythology(also Norse, I'm a native of the north), and I search for games of this kind. I think Rise of the Argonauts looks very good/promising... I'll be keeping an eye on this!

i hate JRPGs, i'll be avoiding eternal sonata and blue dragon like the plague, boring trash, i prefer to actually play my games, rather than watch cutscenes and press a button every 5 minutes during fights
